Randall,
Some of us are thinking of going, will the match be done by 11, or are we off the range at 11pm. Just trying to figure if we have to factor in a hotel or not. If we are off the range by 11, we'll probably monster up and punch home.

Watch out for this guy:
He'll steal all the lapua brass left on the range while everyone else sleeps...

Ain't official until I see confirmation in my box.. but good news nevertheless!
Who's rolling down from your crew? Good competition keeps it challenging.
Saw the N vs. S discussion from another thread. That shit is too complex. 3 years later and it still hasn't happened. Is the fight being taken to AZ?

As for N. vs. S........
We have the facility, the shooters, the steel, and the know how to put it on for the first year. However, I don't think So Cal can actually rally enough shooters to have a battle. 20 vs 20 would be bad ass.
COF will be co-written by both sides, and made public 1 week in advance.
It's really not that complex, So Cal just needs to rally.

Rolling 9 deep at the last minute (comparatively)? That's impressive.
A 20 N vs. 20 S battle would be a full on match. Taking ego out of the equation, it's obvious who the winner would be when you run the stats. Reducing the team the size would normalize the advantage, but it wouldn't be much fun.
Made more sense when the S was a bit more cohesive.
Hell, this site has more post, members, and threads than our lil norcal forum has, and our forum has been around way before this one has been.
If you make it too small, it wouldn't be a club battle.
With all the activity on this forum, I am sure coming up with 20 so cal shooters wouldn't be hard. I am willing to bet if you guys had a place to put on a big battle like what we are talking about, I'd get 20 to roll south in a heart beat.

As with all forums, there are more "talk"ers than "do"ers.
We do have 20+ people helping out with the match who won't be shooting so that tends to cut into our supply of "do"ers...

Yeah, I really wanted to shoot, but "The show must go on" so I am helping.... Vu, we are trying to wrangle more do'ers... a couple of them are self employed and its hard to take off time knowing that your not getting paid.... Anyway, there will come a time when we can get 20 people at the drop of a hat....
vu308 wrote:I understand about getting doers and shooters. 20 people running an event for 35. must be some wicked/dynamic stages planned.
60 rounds and 11 stages is what we typically run in a steel match.
We are on a tight time schedule so we are running 4 squads in 4 different areas of operation with 2 stages being fired simultaneously at 3 of the areas.
We are at about 25 staff with the scoring girls, photographer, RO's, 2 spotters per single shooter steel stage, wranglers to keep shooters lined up for their stages etc...
If anything, we are probably over-planning, but is there such a thing?

Dave KFC.
Is there a roster that you guys can post up?
Have him send in the registration email and please forward him the link to the entry form pronto...
We are not ready to post the roster for 2 reasons.
First, people are not really entered until they return their entry forms and those are still coming in.
Squadding is still being worked out and we don't want to get dozens of "move me over with xy&z shooters" emails.
We are doing our best to accomodate all the "squad me with xy&z shooters" that we got in the registration emails and on the entry forms.

Yes, we have scoring girls.
If you are still on the sex offenders list, we will have to put you out in an area where you will be well out of reach of the girls...

Randall, having done a few matches myself, I understand all that. How about just a list of who signed up.

I sent in my email on the 31st and never got a response email.
The announcement went out last week.
I re-sent your registration email reply.
I got an email from one other person about not receiving it as well.
Check your spam folder for nightmatch@caprc.com emails.
Is there anyone else that sent in an email that has not recieved the reply with the link to the entry form?
If so, post up here pronto so we can get you in!

Randall I got the email with the application, Thank You. Mailed the check today.
I sent you a PM last week regarding your gunsmithing services.
I need some work done on one of my rifles.
Thanks

Thankfully I was able to convince the judge that she was the one who had brought the alcohol to the playground (where I was sleeping) and had duct taped herself before processing to rape me. So we should be good.

No, we did not send out any confirmations of receiving entries.
Due to the short lead-time of the entry process, we are planning for all entries who sent in emails.
We had a couple emails from people that dropped out and removed them from the roster, but there will be roster positions available to all other entries.
We will post up the finalized roster this week.
