When I have gone out there, we camped at the slabs and shot up to 1400yds up one of the roads that goes northwest from the slabs.deepsix++ wrote:WHAT !!!! that's where i go
That's the truth! But I'll be in Vancouver Nov-March.AR15barrels wrote:This is NOT the right time of year to go camping/shooting out there.

Awesome!!! Fuckin hilarious Rich!!bcrich wrote:I look forward to jury duty!!! Get paid my full wages from work, see lots of fine bitches, a/c all day as opposed to working in the 100deg temps. I just wish I'd get chosen for a long ass murder trial.
Trust me Rich, you do not want to serve on a murder trial.... I was called for jury duty and it turned out to be for the death of a young child that was sexually abused and then beaten to death... Just listening to the charges was enough to make several people in the panel gasp.... Turned out I was not picked for the jury, but I could have been out of work for 2 months....bcrich wrote:I look forward to jury duty!!! If you wedge it in some rocks, build a fire under it, then shoot it it will.Downrange67 wrote:

Im guessing that a tracer might light it up if the pellet was still tracing when it pokes the hole in the tank.Stoopy wrote: If you wedge it in some rocks, build a fire under it, then shoot it it will.
Pretty sure they did this on mythbusters and they actually were successful in getting the gas to ignite with a tracer.AR15barrels wrote:

Go for it! 36" is only 1 mil at 1000yds.CLCustom1911 wrote:I think a 36" square piece of plywood would suffice for range estimation with them there fancy mil-dots ;) .
the guy i know from rifle gear will not be coming but i plan to bring at least one other person who is experienced with firearms. ill bring some wood and i have an old propane tank we can ignite. ill also bring my 3 foot by 9" wide steel plate. is it possible we could camp at the slabs ? you can get up to 1200 yards all the way across the lake bed and for hand guns and ar's there is plenty of cool junk to shoot atCLCustom1911 wrote:Waitin on some PMs to come back from guys here. Looks like me and you so far from here definitely, your friend, a couple guys I work with.....im gonna bring my standard eclectic mix of "desert guns" which include my 1911's (one in 45 the other in★☆ 40 Super ★☆ ) one of my 12g shotguns, my 10/22T, Schmidt-Rubin K-31, Mosin Nagant 91/30, my so called not so "precision" Savage 10fp 308, a Marlin Camp 9mm Carbine, a Winchester 94 in 375win, and lastly a S&W K frame .22lr 6 shot (a real beauty).
food wise im gonna do my awesome several day tri-tip marinade, some breakfast danishes, and some MRE's (yes I was the one fool that actually liked those) and get about a chord of firewood if someone has an Easy up or knockoff, that would be cool. Otherwise I will bring my not so easy up canopy thing for some shade I will bring a 6' plastic table for which to place spotting scopes I dont have any steel to shoot, a kestrel, rangefinder, chronograph, or any of that shit. I think a 36" square piece of plywood would suffice for range estimation with them there fancy mil-dots ;) .
