ASR 300Y paper tomorrow 9/1...

Post by evo »

I'm going to check two loads at 300Y tomorrow morning. Line opens at 9:15AM I'll be there at 8:30 if anyone else wants to test a load on paper.
I'll also have my tall target and magnetospeed chrono.

I think if we have 8 people we can get a club rate.

I don't have any ammo loaded. Also, I was planning on heading out there on Wednesday to beat the crowd.

I'll start tumbling brass now but I'm not sure when I'll be done.

If you organize it, go to the office and pick up a blue sheet and have everyone sign in on the blue sheet.
It's $7 per person.
Everyone has to sign in on the blue sheet and you pay when you are done.
You don't need any specific number of people, but they might question you if it's just 3 or 4...

Just came back from SD, about to start reloading...

If I come in around noon, then I am on my own, can't use the club discount?

You can only get the club price if you sign-in with the club shooters before they go and pay for the group.

Print out one of these too:
http://www.caprc.com/targets/waiver.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have everyone sign that when they sign-in.

Got it. Spend most of day with the kids in Seaworld, not enough time to reload.

That's why I don't ask. One thing I've learned shooting (with a camera) all over the world is that if you just act like you belong there and have permission 9 out of 10 times nobody will stop you. People avoid confrontation when possible. Of course being polite and not holding up the cease fire by using a vehicle to go get them is also a good idea.

I also found that if I put target at 300yd before line go hot in the morning, no one bothers me. But I have never used my own car to remove the target, definitely something to try next time, beating walking.

I think they let us go out there during CAPRC matches in our cars because we have the club insurance on file and they know who we are.
We also clear it ahead of time with the line crew.
I don't know if they take kindly to cars on the range from the general public though.

Yeah.... One time Randall and i went out there and cleared it with the line officer, but then there was someone up in the Eagle's Nest that didn't like it. ..

All worked out in the end
