Course description: Sniper I is designed to build a solid foundation of marksmanship fundamentals, understanding wind and its effect on a bullet. In this course we will establish a basic understanding of ballistics, discipline in firearms safety, proper shooting positions, and sling use. Each student will have an understanding of their rifle capabilities, methods of cleaning and maintenance. By the end of Sniper I each student will have the confidence and knowledge to engage a target to the maximum effective range of their rifle. The course consists of classroom instruction, hands on training in a range environment with qualified instructors with backgrounds and expertise in the sniper field. Each student will be provided a data book, t-shirt, calculator, student handout, and Certificate of Completion.
End-state: Students will gain knowledge, confidence and skill base to: safely operate their rifle, apply proper marksmanship fundamentals and calculate wind calls; therefore employing their rifle to maximum capacity.
Pre-Requisites: Students must be legally allowed to own a firearm.
Ares Armor Tactical Training does not require shooters to have any prior knowledge of firearms or their use. Students are advised that there will be zero tolerance for unsafe or reckless behavior, and any shooter deemed unsafe will forfeit their course fee and will be excused from the course. Students may complete the course using either a bolt action rifle or an AR style.
Training Days: 3 (March 1-3 starting at 7AM and ending upon completion).
Student Gear Requirements: To be announced to student upon course registration. Round count of 250.

Price: $700
Deposit ($350) to reserve your slot can be paid. 100% payment due Two (2) weeks prior to course. Full refund can be given up to 1 business week prior to course. 50% refund given up to course date. No refund will be given on or after course date. Returning students receive $50 off course fees.
