ASR practice day Sun 8/5

Post by autoessentials »

Hey guys,
I'm planning to get out to Angeles range next Sunday 8/5. I'll get there for when the line goes hot at 8. I'll bring a bunch of practice paper targets, and plan some stages that we can run for some match practice based on previous cof's.

Anybody who wants to come out and get a lil' practice in is welcome to join in. I'll probably head home around 1-2.

I'll probably join you as long as you don't plan on practicing on the barricade. LOL

We can dig out the barricade and any of the steel we want as long as someone can help set it up and take it down at the end of the day...

I don't do any of those things.

Know that the steel will have to be put out before the range opens (anything beyond 200 yards) and picked up after the range closes for the day....

I will be OOT, so I will not be able to open the connex

OOT? Is that some kind of medical jargon? Other orifice technician?

Just having fun with ya. Thanks for thinking of me anyhow.

I will be there regardless, but some props make for more fun.

OK guys,

1 - Randall was very generous in allowing us all to use some of the club's equipment to help out our practice day.
I will be getting to ASR first thing in order to meet up with him, and set up.

2- We will also be allowed to pay club range fees of only $10 instead of the normal $14 for usage of the range for the day.
If you are going to shoot with us, please check in on the rifle line first thing for entry and range waiver.

See you guys at the range.

OK,
I made up a practice COF based on previous matches, with some options, and extra twists. You guys can feel free to run the stages, and repeat any that you like as well. This is for fun, and to work on your stages that don't always go as well as you would hope.

Danny,
we will do this again in the future, not sure on exact dates yet. As you know, I like to practice any chance I get.

Solomon and Ray,
great to have you guys on board. Thanks for showing, and thanks for any help as well.

Rich,
you know you are always welcome in my book. If you have the chance, and the ammo, come on by.

And to all else who want to join in, feel welcome to. We are all here to learn together.

See you guys Sunday morning.

Thanks to everybody who came out to have some fun with us. Also, big thanks to Randall for making this a club day with steel, target frames, and reduced fees for everybody.

Rich,
I finally cleaned that rack in under 15! It was badass!

I'm sure that we will do it again in the future, so I hope to see you guys out again, and even some new faces. If you want, we can take a poll of who is up for more of a free form practice like we had on Sunday, or perhaps a full 10 stage practice match just for fun.
