It doesn't work too well at the range, but for dry firing, the sound of the striker going off is enough for a reliable shot count. I've been using it a lot for dry firing at home (although it didn't seem to help me much at last sunday's match).

I just broke down and bought my own pocket pro shot timer. The beep is really good at rattling your cage, just like at a match!

I tried this one and a couple other apps back in feb while snipers were qualifying and had other officers running AR's about 50yards away.
The app picked up the sniper's shot, but not the other officers once I had it calibrated (took literally a few seconds). But it does get difficult to seperate distinct bangs when you have others next to you shooting.
