Las Vegas 3-3-12 & AZPRC 3-4-12

Post by Gnzrme »

So Keith and I drove out yesterday to Las Vegas to shoot Kurt's match today. Approximately 26 shooters showed up. Couple of problems. Werner Helmer broke the bolt off his rifle so he was out after like 2-3 stages. I had a mag issue that cost me some easy points but I only zero'd one stage a KYL because I got greedy. Still only finished like 16th or 17th but not last!!! Kurt's mover broke before our group got to shoot it so that was a bummer. All in all, a good match.

Now on to the 2nd leg of the trip. Going to be shooting Brad Pecks match by the Grand Canyon. Hopefully there will be time for pictures.

Oh, congrats to Keith. He came in 5th today!!!

Sounds like fun. What kind of feeding problem were you having?

There's a problem when the mag is loaded the first round is nose diving and it's not allowing it to be chambered. Then I got a double feed like Charlie was having in TX. Cost my 3 easy shots on a 200 yard ipsc target as time ran out

Your bottom metal doesn't sound like its the right distance from your action....

I'm wondering the same thing. What bottom metal is it? If its a Badger or Badger copy, the pillars should be .720" in the front and 1.070" in the rear. Check with Ray and see what he used.

It would do it before ray had it but 0.720 sounds familiar

Is it with 11 rounds in the mag or 10? Mine does it sometimes with 11 in the AI mags. Thanks for making it out. We enjoyed your company and were glad to see you guys made it home safe. How long was the drive?

2 stops for gas/food and a 1 hour delay for a accident 3 exits from my house... Total 9 hours but 7 of actual driving

I do not do the 11 rounds. It's a feeding problem and I think that it has something to do with the dbm. But again it's not consistent

I think he has a CDI which is different than Badger and it's clones.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.
