WEGC PBR Match 1-15-12 (Match Results)

Post by Spaniard »

Hey Men,
We started off January with some great back and forth competition. It's always nice to see the come backs. We had 6 shooters to compete this month. Nathan Webnar took his first match and was pretty hot today with a total score of 555 Points for the win and speed drill. Great Job Nathan!

Great job Men, see you next month. By the way, what do you think about tabulating the total scores throughout the year for a 2012 PBR Top Shooter based upon total points from matches. Maybe 1-3?

Let me know, Mark

Order of Finish

1) Nathan Webnar-555 Points
2) Joe Hernandez-534 Points
3) Henry Song-412 Points (what could have been Henry?)
4) Matt Cronin-392 Points
5) Brett Christenson-306 Points
6) Earl Macasaet-131 Points

Man vs. Man: Joe Hernandez
Speed Drill: Nathan Webnar
Top .308: Henry Song

Nathan's earlier performance is what held up at the end. He was smoking until the Man v Man and then he got knocked out of the playoffs. However, his earlier lead held up and carried him through to the winner's circle and total points is what counts at the end. Good job Nathan. Thanks Eddie for helping me spot hits and score the match, get that rig fixed brother to get back in the game. Eddie's tip of his firing pin broke off, never seen that before but it can happen. You certainly want to carry an extra one if you attend a major match. ;)

New shooter Matt had some good runs, come on back Matt. And the Viking shot an entire stage clean front to back with the fastest time, now don't touch the rifle Brett. :P

January is always a match to dust off with bigger MOA targets to get guys back in the game. However gun jams (broken firing pin), turrets dialed up and oopskies kept the competition going back and forth. The weather was fantastic with almost no wind through the entire match.

Be safe, Mark

Pencil it in, Sunday February 19th is the next match.

Mark, thanks for the AAR. Wanted to be out there with you guys, but I had to work.... Congrats on the win Nathan.... Now you just needed to do that good in Sac.... and congrats to all the shooters. Brett... good job cleaning a stage. I remember how that felt for me in SCPRC, including punching the concrete afterwards....

I am off for next month, so I will be there with my A (or B) game....

I had fun at the match, thanks Mark! I just have to have a little more attention to detail and I should do better on some of these stages. I should have noticed that the first round didn't feed in the last man on man. Oh well one more lesson!
