Post by Gnzrme »

The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce their first match of 2012 will be Sunday January 8th at the Angeles Ranges.
For details about the Angeles Ranges, see their website: http://www.angelesranges.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Image

Signups start at 7:00am and shooting should start at 8:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 7:30am to sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 50 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.
Bring a backpack to shoot off of for stages that don't allow a bipod.

This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.

Line helper RSVP's will be accepted anytime.

Nice.

I'm glad you're joining in on the fun. It takes some measure of balls to show up for your first match. It's not easy.

Even if you end up finishing last in the match, just keep in mind that you didn't really finish last. Rather, you finished ahead of everyone else who didn't shoot the match. That's not some wannabe clever way of looking at the world. That's reality.

It's one of my New Year resolutions to start shooting in matches. Honestly I started getting bored with shooting but have way to much money wrapped up in guns to hang it up. I just need to move to the next level. Thanks for the encouragement and see you guys on sunday for some fun.

Surf and everyone else... Make sure you have a pack to shoot off and a sling on your rifle. If you do not have these items, I can let you borrow mine and I am sure there are some other non shooting personnel who will also loan theirs. I have made up my mind on the COF..... :drama:

Guys with only about 5 shooters, we should be able to do this with just me and 1 person spotting. Everybody plan on shooting. I am sure there will be other sign ups but since its late notice, I expected a low turn out. We will have to run the stages one at a time but should still finish with plenty of time.

We should a no bipod match sometime. Every stage should be unsupported or off a bag or barricade. I think that would be fun.

I've had my eyes on this scope for a long time now. I want it for my Anschutz. Today I talked Ho into trading away this very scope and some pistols for my Sub.

I can't believe I traded away my Sub, but I'm pretty stoked with this scope. I console myself that my Sub went to a good home.

Looks like this will be a good event. Remember to meet on the left end of the line. The club will have all your paperwork you don't need to go in the office.

New guys show up with a zero if you can. If not, I am sure the MDs will help you out. Have fun everyone

just come and sign up. The NRA Proof is only if you want to join our club which would save you 10.00 on the match fees. If you are going to shoot more than 2 matches, it will pay for itself. We have our liability insurance through the NRA, so they require 100% participation.
