CaPRC match at Angeles 9/11/11

Post by AR15barrels »

The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be Sunday September 11th at the Angeles Ranges.
For details about the Angeles Ranges, see their website: http://www.angelesranges.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Image

Signups start at 7:00am and shooting should start at 8:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 7:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.

This will be the 9th match of our 2011 points series.
Details about the points series are here: http://www.caprc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2175" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 50 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.
Bring a backpack to shoot off of for stages that don't allow a bipod.

This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.

Line helper RSVP's will be accepted anytime.
Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Monday September 5th.
Non-Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Tuesday September 6th.
RSVP's posted before those times will be ignored.

Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there" as we will ignore "maybe" or "if" RSVP's.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current and move people up from the waiting list.

Lets say line helper for now, I managed to put a nice burn on my trigger finger by cleaning a 50,000rpm air spindle with a Q-Tip. At 50,000 rpm a wooden Q-Tip gets hot way faster than you can let go of it, like the bionic fire starter it has become.

How is he shooting and writing the COF? Thought that was up to the RO or who ever is running it. Not one of the competitors. If thats the case then post up the COF before hand.

The COF is not written yet, but you can pick up a copy when you sign up sunday morning...

Hey guys,

We have 14 shooters. No reason we should not have 30. Invite a friend, buddy or hell someone you don't like. Lets get this match full every month.

I think I left your 6mm barrels with Randall since they came in first.
If you also got 6.5mm or .308 then I have it.

Hi guys; just wanted to say thanks to everyone at the match today. I just came by to spectate, having not been to a CAPRC match before, and everyone I spoke to was very friendly and welcoming. Big thanks to Evo for letting me shoot his rifle after the match was over. It sure looks like a bunch of fun, and I should be out there to shoot at the next one, hopefully!
