You know when I swing by the TV headed to the mancave in the back the family may be watching a "Reality" TV Show and I am always amazed how people and sometimes family treat each other on National TV. I ask myself I wonder what they think when they watch the retakes what they think of their behavior and how it looks to others that may be watching but will never say a word about it?
This year I shot the TPRC, I came in 45th o/o 66 Shooters, there was no one to blame but myself. It rained most the weekend, however I had a great time either way. Between running monthly matches for the last 5 years, the SCPRC, Long Hours at work and a family, it leaves little time for training anymore. Regardless, competeting with other shooters, under pressure and in shooting positions or stages that are not comfortable to me just adds to the game. For most that's all it really is, for some it's the business. For me I wouldn't get wound up over a couple of stages, and certainly wouldn't complain about not getting past a certain point due the overwhelming factor that everyone faced this weekend; THE WIND. But that's just me.
I would like to say the "Volunteers" all of them did an outstanding job and I appreciate West End Gun Club allowing us the time and place to host a Major Match in Southern California, that includes rifles. This is the only one of its kind for many miles in these parts I would hate to see that go away. Well gotta go, I need to get my hair up in curlers and put on my make up, back to the grind.
Now on that note I would like to share a few
"e-mail" replys I received;
Mark
I just want to say thanks again for a great match, this was my first big match and now you've got me hooked. I'll be using this as my barometer for future matches, I hope they're as put together as yours!! Had a great time and I'll see you at the next WEGC match.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Hey Mark,
Just wanted to say thanks for the Match. It was a great two days and your staff did an excellent job! Make sure you pass that on to them from all of the SDPD guys. Looking forward to next year.
I would like to personally thank you for the competition this weekend. It definitely took me way out of my comfort zone, but after this weekend, my comfort zone got a little bigger.
Reading some of the forums, such as the link below, and getting bit by the sniper bug even more so after this weekend, I would like to shoot some more long distance stuff and more shooting like we did at the competition.
