Coalinga Rifle Club - Fall Championships
Hey guys
I thought since the Coalinga range is closer to you that there may be some interest in their fall championship matches. These are 1000 yard matches. I received this information from Jim O'Connell, who runs the HP matches at Sac Valley. If you have any questions you can post them here and I'll either have the answer or get it for you. Since these are NRA registered matches all NRA rules apply. The 2 most likely to affect any of you are the weight limit for a F-T/R rifle (.223 or .308 only), and NO MUZZLE BRAKES.
1-3 Oct Mid-State Highpower Rifle Regional Championship and Leg Match (this a XC, or "Across the Course" High Power match)
28-31 Oct Bill Chapman Memorial Long Range Regional Championship Highpower - F Open - F T/R
4-7 Nov California State Long Range Championship Highpower - F Open - F T/R
For some reason this board is not accepting the Word doc extension from me and is not letting me post attachments. So if anyone wants the all the information sheets and entry forms, PM or email me with your email address and I'll send them to you.
FYI:
Any/Iron means any rifle with iron sights.
Any/Any means any rifle with any sights (that means scopes are ok)
Events for these specific categories are shot from the prone WITH A SLING.

Re: Coalinga Rifle Club - Fall Championships
F-T/R class is for .223 Remington and .308 Winchester rifles only. F Open class is all other cartridges. Both classes are scoped rifles shooting from prone. The High Power rifles all shoot prone with a sling and iron sights (except for the Any/Any match).linkpimp wrote:Looks interesting… I do have one question thou.. sorry..
