Challenging and a good time with good company. Can't wait until next year.

Fun and challenging match. Incredible prize table for a no prize match. Thanks to everyone who helped put it on and to all the companies that sponsored the match.

^Great shooting Brandon. Fun match. It got really cold out on the 200 yd line the first night. Congrats to all the winners. Also, I wanna say that it was no coincidence that the locals all hit their coldbore on the second day. Familiarity with the range is definitely an advantage.

Re: SCPRC
One funny thing that happened is that two guys from RIverside SWAT overslept in their trailer the next day. You would think the sound of shooting would wake them up.

BTW the last stage was so hard, people cheered like it was a miracle when anyone made that shot.

They were from Riverside........... I guess they're used to the sound of gunfire..........

I went straight to Angeles after the match yesterday to do some more night match setup work.
I got there an hour before the line closed, but I was tired enough to take an hour nap in my truck, parked right next to the line...

Re: SCPRC
Hey Guys,
I got the final scores from Juan last night, I will be posting up in the next few days, I have to go back to the mine to pay the bills. Once the match is over it gets pretty hectic picking up and closing up, doing final sweeps of the range and getting two trailers unstuck at the Juniors range. Thanks again and thank you to all that helped out.
I found a 2011 Mug down at the Juniors range and a Blue folding Chair-anyone?
Mark

Re: SCPRC
Mark, thanks you for putting on another outstanding match this year. Prize table was amazing for a "No Prize Match" A big thank you for Tony and Sean for taking that on in additional to their "day job". Please send out a list of sponsors so that we can thank them via email or with our wallets. Even though I finished 6th from the bottom, I feel that I did better than I did last year and hitting my cold bore and cleaning that one stage at the 500 was the highlight of my shooting career to date. And to boot, its captured on video too. Once I get home I can try and post up the vid..
Thanks again and hope to see you soon.
Oh PS. Really liked the timed exposure stage. Lets do that one again....

That was Kurt Stone.MichaelV wrote:What is Ron doing? Hand grenade toss?
The last stage was a really tough one.
Starting with your rifle on the ground, your hand on the barricade and a round of ammo in a cup about 6ft behind the barricade.
On the start signal, go grab the round of ammo, load the rifle and shoot a plate at 220yds, OFFHAND in 12 seconds.
Out of 40 shooters, 37 did not hit the plate, or did not even get a shot off.
2 shooters hit the plate under 12 seconds.
Kurt decided to throw his round downrange and laughter ensued...

I'm surprised I got the round off before the end of the par time. "Hail Mary"
