Piru on Sat 10-15-11

Post by 264Charlie »

Hello,

I am going to shoot at Piru on Sat if anyone wants to meet up. I have to sight in some hunting rifles, test a few loads and gather DOPE. I should have a lot of down time so if any new guys what help with anything let me know. I should be out most of the day.

Any want to go?

If you have not shot at Piru it's off the 126 and has steel plates out the 1000.

Brad and I are going to Angeles in the afternoon to zero scopes...
I put my 3-12 on my 223.
Brad is waiting for his USO to come in tomorrow morning.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.

Good day at the range. Stephen was on the line when I arrived. We each took turns spotting hits at 1000 with some tricky wind up on the hill. Then we switched to playing with the 7Mag. Recoil is not bad when shooting from the standing position but kills you from prone. After we ran out of rounds for the 7 we switched to 100 yards with the our comp rifles.

Stephen your gun shoots like *hit. :bg: I think you need a 6.5x47. I know it's not Stephen because he put 7 or 8 rounds in a 3/4 inch shoot and see with my gun. Man we have a new marketing slogan. The 6.5x47 has better barrel life than a .308. :randall:
