DM 1000 yard match

Post by Gnzrme »

So while some of the crew was at TBRC, some of us went to the 1000 yard match at Desert Marksman. There were 49 shooters! A record turnout for the club. Weather was great...Winds were a little stiff in the morning switching back/forth, but settled down for the afternoon relay. We started signing in people at 7am and we were done shooting at 5:30pm. Ben and I shot together. He scored in the 180's and I scored in the 160's...Top score was in the 190's. Will get the final list in a couple of days....For those of us that are members at DM: You must attend the next meeting in June which is on the 15th at the Palmdale Finn and Feather...The future of the club is at stake and important issues need to be discussed.

Some pictures attached of the match

Ok, too dumb to figure out how to post pictures....suffice to say that they were excellent photos....

Use the img tag just like on any other forum.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.

A friend of mine took third in the magnum class with his 338 AI. I've got to make it up there one of these days.

50 shooters is outstanding attendence.
How come we can only get 12-15 at so-cal precision rifle matches?

All you guys that are desert marksman members need to be promoting the club within the group of shooters that's shooting these 1000yd matches.
Charlie is going to put together postcards that everyone can hand out at other events.

I don't shoot in matches largely because they are on Sundays and I am in church that day. I tried to make the last practice that was on a Saturday but with two kids playing sports and another that needs to be carried everywhere it just makes it difficult.

It's better to be out shooting thinking about god than in church thinking about shooting. :)
