August Steel Match Results and AAR

Post by vu308 »

We had 26 shooters show up today for our bi-monthly steel match.

Thank you to all of those that setup on Saturday, and tore down on Sunday.

Don and Brian ran their first steel match today and did a GREAT job. I can not speak for Bravo squad, but Don had Alpha squad running very smooth. I hung out and threw my two pennies in when needed. Other than that, Don made sure everyone was locked on and moving along.

Mr. Shaw wrote a great COF as always.

Special thanks to Jimmy C Note for coming out just to run the mover for us. He didn't even bring a rifle today. We owe that man some cold Heinekens.

CBS was either 50pts for a hit, -25 for a miss, or 0. We were hovering right around 50% for the CBS. 330yards on a LV Mini Man in front of a Ram non-shoot.

420 and 550 KYLs at berms off the concrete deck. 60 seconds total move and shoot time. You really had to haul ass to even attempt 4 shots. This is probably the first steel match in a long time where no one cleaned a KYL. Matt nailed 4 on both KYLs.

Mover @ 420 yards 10 rounds, 90 seconds. Jimmy had it cranked up for a 2 mil lead to hit.

Running dots, 5 1" dots @ 100 Meters, 3 minutes par time. Start with a 50 yard run to get your first shot off, and 50 yard runs in between each round taken.

Stairs - 10 rounds, 5 ports. Target was @ 420. 12" Plate

Off Hand Box Drill. 12 Plate @ 150meters. 2 rounds on target (in the off hand) before going to prone to engage a full size LV Popper @ 420. 8 rounds max.

Barricade - 330 yards on LV Mini IPSC Plate 60 seconds, 6 rounds. High to Low on the barricades.

Chaos Drill was a bitch! 10 rounds, mover was to be engaged in between each static target. 5 statics, and 5 on the mover. 0 the stage if shot out of sequence. Ask me how I know.....

Sounds like a blast! That COF is killer! My fatass started lifting and doing sprints again just for COFs like that one! Gotta get in shape!
