On our way to Phoenix one time, I got bored and started compiling a list of places that we shoot at.
This mostly came from a discussion about why our zeros wander and my reading of Bryan Litz's book.
So here is what I have so far.
Please give me other ranges that I should add to the list.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.
Can you include the Chabot range in Castro Valley? It's frequented by quite a few Bay Area folk and an excellent place to get chrono data when working up new loads.

I went to the Nevada location Randall mentioned above. Very nice. A safe, flat shooting range out to 1,000+ yards. I made a rock pile to note the 300 and 400 yard distances from the dark sofa at the impact end of the range. Due to the glare, that is the only object my range finder could fix on. Also noted was the metal target CAPRC (?) had placed up on the hillside to the right.
On the way back I went through Stoddard Valley on Camp Rock Road. I thought there were a lot of places to shoot long range there as long as you don't mind having to walk to put out targets. Has anybody had any experience there?
