Training opportunities?

Post by SKMoss »

Hi all.

New(ish) shooter looking for some training/learning opportunities.

Does CaPRC have a calendar of events. Trying to wade through the forums to find the next clinic/match/practice day is proving to be a chore.

Like I said, I'm a newbie long rang shooter. I have a pretty decent .308. Been shooting it at Rainbow's 100yd range and having fun. Had a chance to bang steel at Pala's range for the first time 3 weeks ago. Got hooked the first time I hit the 2' diamond at 675yds.

Now I want to learn to do things right, build good habits now, rather than ingrain bad habits that have to be broken later.

Looking for clinics, practice days, a MENTOR, etc. And for matches to shoot. I do best when I have goals, and ways to measure my progress.

Thanks,
Steve

This forum,CAPRC has matches/practice every 2nd Sunday of the month and announced here. Look under "shoots and matches"
Or over at west end gun club every 3rd Sunday

Sundays, not Saturdays
