RSO certification
There is a Range Safety Officer (RSO) certification class being offered to WEGC members next weekend at the WEGC clubhouse.
If you are interested in being able to help run matches, I strongly suggest you take the class.
If you need more info, post up here and I can forward you the email that I received.

I was able to fit it into my schedule. I gave him a call and he is sending me the form to get registered so I should be there.

Re: Calling WEGC members
It's official that non WEGC members can go too, just WEGC members have priority if they get over 20 people.
Only have 4 now and need at least 8 to hold the class...
$46 gets you RSO certified.

Hi Mark,
Absolutely, they can attend. So far we have four folks interested and we need 8 to have a class. If we get more than 20 folks interested, members will have the priority.
I have attached the enrollment application to this e-mail for you. Please feel free to pass it on to your helpers.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kurt

Hi Bruce & Kurt,
Question, some of the guys that help at my match are not members, can they attend this RSO Class. Please let me know so I can pass it on. I am very interested along with a few other members. The more the better looks for our club and that we take safety seriously.

Its accross the street and a little bit before the clubhouse. You can see it easily from the road. It will be on the right hand side.DirtRacer151 wrote:

Re: RSO certification
So, home from the RSO class... Randall, James, Charlie, Brandon, Scott Cochrane, Mark Archuleta and Rich poplin and I all became RSO's. This class taught us that we really need to tighten up what we do as far as safety briefings before our matches and better planning for emergencies/procedures and rules. As the club begins to form, we will probably see some of this being incorporated. Anyway, good times and fellowship was had.

Yeah, good time. A rogue chair almost took out Mark Archuleta.

Re: RSO certification
Yeah that was funny....He goes to adjust his knife in his pocket and the frame of his chair just collapsed and he fell back like a rock..we all were shocked at first, then everybody started to laugh....(sorry Mark)...Just wish there was a video of it....StraightShooter wrote:Yeah, good time.
