Precision .22LR for training...

Anybody think this would do...

Savage Mark II TR. Only about $400, put a Vortex and a Harris on it and it's still under $1K

Any other suggestions in the same price range?

That would be a pretty sweet setup.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.

That's a really sweet setup. I have a CZ 452 as a trainer. It also shoots realy well and is in the same price range. I'm in the process of bedding it in that same Boyds stock as the Savage. The nice thing about the Savage is that it already comes with the Boyds stock, scope mounts and bolt knob. By the time I finish my CZ I'll have a lot more $ into it than that Savage costs complete out the door. That really is interesting.
