I don't why it is, but here I am stuck in LA at work... I should be done by 3 AM... that means no shooting for me until later. I think I'm just going to hit Piru later in the day. :x

Awesome group today of 13 shooters. Hope everyone had a good time. Bob-thanks for bringing that extra steel. That orange paint worked very well. And Ben-your new rifle shows lots of promise. With some good match ammo it'll be scary accurate...not that there was ever a doubt. Randall can flat build rifles.

Charlie and James-you guys keep up the practice and keep dry firing, and you'll kick all our asses in Sacto. Excellent shooting.

So while i was packing everything up somehow I didn't think it would be a good idea to take my midway mat home with me. I'm hoping somebody grabbed it for me and I can pick it up sometime?

You forgot to bring the shade.
I'm all sunburned.

The ranger really needs to be aligned and have the tires balanced.
Maybe drop a turbo or a v8 into it at the same time...

Crushed ammo is a new excuse. I'm sticking with my sucking at shooting excuse, I figure that will last a while.

OK a few questions.

What would be a typical (i know this is just an estimate) muzzle velocity increase with and additional 20deg to heat up the ammo? Is there a rule of thumb to follow for muzzle velocity increases as temps come up? I was shooting .3 high at 1K with my dope from last month, .3 at 850, .2 at 650, and .1 at 500. I know that the 1000ft higher DA from today has something to do with it but JBM is only knocking it down .1 at 1k from the DA change.

Does anyone know what the look angle is when shooting out to 1k?

Charlie, can you run my load again in QL for me and increase the powder temp 20deg?

It's uphill, but not a lot.
Maybe 10-15 degrees.

Just asking for future shooting. It actually knocks me another .1 at 1k when i increase it to 10 deg. on JBM.

I know that it was the same last month so that wouldn't be the solution but this is something that has come of interest to me after spending time with my 22lr last week at the range and wondering why i was missing at 200. I changed my dope to reflect the 8-9 degree look angle and sure enough it changed my dope .2 at that distance and it matched my hard dope perfectly

Had a great time out there yesterday. Thanks Randall and Ryan for setting this up and thanks to Charlie and Conner for letting me get behind your rifles. Hope to join you guys again next month with my 700.

Hey Ben, keep me posted if the other guy doesn't take your .308 SMK's.

Thanks again guys!
