Moving targets

Post by gau17 »

Which method do you guys prefer? Tracking or ambushing the target. Ambushing meaning you wait until the target crosses your crosshairs?

I like tracking, it works for me. Ambushing seemed to take too long in a timed competition .

Ambush.
I'm more stable while sitting still and waiting for the target to appear at the proper lead that I am looking for.
When I track them, I am much less stable in my elevation on target, tending to miss high or low more than left or right.
God shoots a Remington 700, drives a Chevy Truck and carries a Glock 19.
I don't do any of those things.

Ambush as well. I find it much easier to let the target walk into your cross hairs rather than moving with it for me too.

If I had a moving target to practice on I would be able to answer the question.

I was talking about getting the clubs mover finished and using it on a regular basis.
