Thanks Solomon. I'm good though.

I think there are others in more desperate need than me for Varget. I won't need it for another couple of months at least.

Oh yeah, it was awesome and I learned a lot...it also confirmed other stuff I had gathered elsewhere but all from the mystery web, so it was nice to hear someone actually teach it. Overall it was a big learner for me.

Classroom was great. Charlie taught it well and I can see why you do instructional stuff around the country. You are very good at it. Thanks.

Lunch time. The BBQ was great too. I chowed down.....perfect meal. BBQ Tri-Tip and chicken.....both cooked to perfection, beans, garlic bread, tons of fruit......water and Gatorade...... impressive.

Getting down on my full belly after chow was tough.....I wanted to take an after lunch nap. :D This was the first time shooting prone for me since I was in the military when I was 18 and fit as a fiddle, supple etc. Many years pass and 4 fairly recent spine surgeries later....back and neck ......well let's just say I was battling getting behind the 'scope. But here comes Nathan and get's right up next to me...belly down on the dirt....and gives pointers, helps out building up my cheek weld.......and also Nick, who also unselfishly took the time to get down behind my rifle and help with rear bag choice and some tips also. Then there were all the guys who offered help, whether at the line or up at the targets, reading the values....Steven and others...Nathan, Randall, Brad etc......I'm so sorry if I do not remember everybody by name but I was really cognizant of the great attitude and friendliness.

And not just me......I saw many of the shooters getting attention, help with setup etc. Way bang for the buck and anyone who has not done this course.....you owe it to yourself to do one.

Looking forward to Part B.

Thanks a ton folks. Very cool presentation.

Thank you all for putting on a great clinic! I enjoyed shooting my 5R for the first time very much -- it is quite a jump up from the 10/22 Takedown I've been using at Appleseed!

I plan to be out for a match once I get my own scope (thank you very much Nathan for letting me use yours for the day!).

That was an great class and range session. You guys really know how to host an awesome get together. Huge compliments on the food and drinks; that alone is a reason come! EVERYONE was so helpful. You can't pay someone enough for that kind of attention. Big thanks for Brad, Keith and the gentleman (who works in TV?). Thanks for teaching me how to use my rifle.

See you all at the next competition or Clinic 'B'.

P.s. Is tape with names tacky and useless? I would like to recognize all of the other CAPRC'ers who came out to support.

A big THANKs to all the CAPRC Members that helped us on Sunday from the great class time to the one on one tutelage and the great BBQ lunch. If this is how CAPRC roles my wife is going to wonder where I’m at on the weekends. I learned an incredible amount that cannot be learned from reading. Most importantly I learned I need to invest more into my rifle to make it fit me correctly. Then spending time with it dry firing it then dry firing it some more. My boys will love me passing down to them what I learned. My wife will think the 3 of us lying on the floor (the boys with there .22s and me with my .308 dry firing) have lost our minds I’m sure she will sneak a pic and put us on FaceBook with a caption like I feel sorry for the first boy that wants to date Reese Hahaha.

Solomon Thanks for posting the vids and completly crushing what my idea of a good rifle should be your rig is smoooth.

While I aspire to be a member of the AI Club, with a wife and 2 kids to support (one in college) I cannot afford an AW right now or near future.

Furthermore, with John hoarding the world supply of all things AI it will be a long time.

Monthly match is a glorified practice! For most of us the matches are the only time we can shoot. Its great experience and you can only get better and better after you start coming out. Highly recommend coming out and giving it a shot. Plenty of us would be more then willing to help you out at the match if you have any questions. So come out and shoot!

Right on Nathan. The only thing not setup on my rifle is a sling. I have a couple but never had a chance to install or used one before.
