SNIPER'S HIDE MATCH MAY 23-25th
I was just wondering if there are shooters interested in this match that would take place in Doublas WY.
This match was great last year, one of the best field shooting matches I would say, great location
different experience.the distance is a bit far but certainly worth going.
Please post your interest if any.
Thanks,

How tough physically is this match? I don't want to come home with anything broken or strained.

Basicly you park your car at designated area, and walk anywhere from 200yds to not even half a mile, it is not that phisicaly demanding,I certainly did not feel strained at all last year.the shooters go from one stage to the next when they are done shooting the stage, you just carry your rifle and pack with you,ReligiousShooter wrote:How tough physically is this match? Haha... Gordon, If I had not torn my calf muscle, I would have been able to continue the match. Ray is right, drive close to the shooting area and walk up. It's do-able

Not bad at all. Just don't expect a "range" setting. Last year's was in mid-June and the worst thing that I recall was the midday heat and no shade. Didn't expect it to be so hot in WY in June. Since it's a month earlier that shouldn't be any problem.ReligiousShooter wrote:How tough physically is this match? I don't want to come home with anything broken or strained.

I didn't know they posted that.
That was right after I did the "heart attack hill" stage in Complex-A.

Does this match/range require a SUV? Or will a sedan work?

If it was in June, I'd try to swing it.

After last year, I realized that I need to take into account the travelling there and back into the entire equation of if it's worth it. Plus,
I don't have as much freetime this year as last.

Steven,
We love you! If you were going, I'd go just for the entertainment value.

Henry. I'm glad I could provide you entertainment in that trip. Believe me, I kinda want to go to prove that it cannot be that bad again, but I think the Wyoming State Police have an APB out on me... Or it least it seemed that way
