This was absolutely true. There were several bags that were packed up and expecting shooters. There were a few names that I recognized on the list of no shows.....not a suprise. The fact that people dont have the balls or courtesy to call and cancel is complete bullshit.

But why am I suprised, there was a chance of showers...kinda reminds me of the complete failed attempt of a night match.

I agree. All it takes is a courtesy call to Charlie. Not cool to leave him hanging. It was a fun and tough match with some tough competition. All that aside any one know where i can get a good deal on plain red hats?!?!?

Three minutes of Google-Fu.

Results:

They are straight outta Compton, and they are listed on their Ebay page for $2 each + $3.99 shipping.
I bet you could work a deal out, and just pick em up.

I had a spot in the match. I called Charlie a week prior to the match to cancel.
At least one person on the waiting list got in. A family member got injured.

There were 48 shooters out of 54 that showed up. And just like Jacob, I recognized some of those no-show names too. I won a beer off a bet with Vu about one of 'em, and it wasn't Randall.

I heard you SoCal boys went to bed at like 8pm or something on Friday night. Doesn't that go completely against your normal training program of drinking until 3am? :D

It does. That's why we had a poor showing the first day. Didn't know what it was like to shoot without being sleep-deprived and hungover.

Agreed, we shoot much better after some Jack & rehab and gas station doughnuts in the AM.

What a fun freaking match. I had one of the best times, with probably one of the best crowds this last weekend.

We shot, we drank a lil, we lit off fireworks, and I almost killed Mike Cecil with a bottle rocket. We fired off a 4 foot bottle rocket that went 250 feet and blew up 3 times.

All in all, it was a good time.

As for Randall being a no show, no call. Shawn has taught me to accept people for who they are. Don't bother being upset, or surprised. It just sucks for those that COULD of shot the event vs. allowing some DB to have a slot just to flake.
