2011 CaPRC Points Series

California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce the 2011 points series. Some of you may have heard we have been up to something along these lines. Eligible shooters will have the opportunity to compete for year end prizes. We have many sponsors that have agreed to donate for this event but details on the actual prizes are still being worked out at this time. I can assure you guys there will be some nice things on the table ;) To be eligible to pull a prize from the table at the end of the year you will be required to meet a certain criteria. Shooters who do not meet ALL requirements will not be eligible to participate in the prizes. If you are the points leader but don't complete all requirements then you will only be allowed bragging rights.

The requirements will be:

1- Shooter must be a club member.
You must be a club member before the last match of 2011 to qualify

2- Shooter must volunteer to to be a non-shooting helper at 2 matches or clinics. (Board members are required to run 4 matches)
Your duties can be anything from setup, spotting, scoring, or take down. (Please don't be offended if you are shooting and are asked to do something too) We have a lot on our plates to get these matches done for you guys.

3- Shooter must participate in 6 matches. The best 6 match scores in 2011 will be added up to determine overall standings for the year. (Jan & Feb matches included)
You may participate in more then 6 matches but we will throw out your lower scoring match scores.

We have standardized all matches to have the same point value, round count and number of stages so that no specific month will be more advantageous to the shooters than other months.
Each 2011 monthly match will have 10 stages with a total point value of 1000 points possible and each course of fire will be 50 rounds.
In the event of a tie at the end of the year, we will have a shoot-off at the December match to break any ties.

We understand you may not be able to meet all requirements because of your schedule or other obligations. Please understand that these requirements have been put in place to encourage participation on all levels.

May and June points are also posted as well as formulas showing your top 3, 4 5 or 6 match scores so you can see where you fall as more scores are added through the rest of the year...

But the rules from the get go said best 6 matches, and then filter out those that did not linehelp 2 matches.
