2012 CaPRC Calender questions
WTF... What happened to the questions regarding the schedule that were posted here. I was looking forward to the answers... I liked the idea of alternating weekends and think I would be able to shoot more matches that way.

Re: 2012 CaPRC Tactical Precision Rimfire schedule
I was not involved in removing them but suspect the decision is already made ant this is an announcement thread. I don't agree that shit should be moved without an explanation. Mods lock the thread if you don't want people posting in it.

Re: 2012 CaPRC Tactical Precision Rimfire schedule
Trent apparently that was off topic. Mike I know you don't have control over the centerfire matches but how about addressing it instead of deleting suggestions? I'm not trying to be a dick because I personally don't give a shit. I will be shooting matches out of town and have our team spot to shoot at but what about all the local guys? All I'm saying is how about trying to figure something out instead of just sweeping it under the rug as usual.

Re: 2012 CaPRC Tactical Precision Rimfire schedule
This is the schedule that we already have worked on and set. I know that we can't always make everyone happy with decisions but that's what we are going to do. I think the dates for the centerfold matches are up somewhere around here as well so everyone can make plans accordingly. Hope this helps.

What exactly are these "centerfolds" matches going to involve? Maybe oil wrestling? MV gonna tame them with his red cape?Chevroletkid88 wrote:This is the schedule that we already have worked on and set. They were deleated as being off topic. Why are you guys asking questions about the centerfire matches in a rimfire thread?

Re: 2012 CaPRC Tactical Precision Rimfire schedule
What can I address that I didn't in the PM I sent to you? I have no controll over the dates of the centerfire matches. The dates for the centerfire matches have not been posted yet. What else do you think I can do? Notice "club leadership" is not under my name? I'll split this off to its own thread and you can ask the club leadership all the questions you want.

My question was about alternating weekends or alternating between Sat/Sun so I could get out more.. NOT about the centerfire matches.GforceJunkie wrote:They were deleated as being off topic. Why are you guys asking questions about the centerfire matches in a rimfire thread?
Why cant you just answer the questions without the Fucking prick attitude?

Re: 2012 CaPRC Calender questions
Trent, I don't think anyones wants to have an attitude. No one gets paid to host matches around hear and after the bitching starts it care wear thin.
A lot goes into picking a date like ASA availability, setup and teardown time and the people willing to run them schedules.
The schedule that is posted is Mike's best effort to meet the listed. Let's be happy that mike took the time to host a RF match for people to shoot.

Re: 2012 CaPRC Calender questions
I understand that there is a lot of work going into this. If someone is willing to take on the task of doing this then they should also be willing to answer a few questions that get thrown their way. Just because its a lot of work doesnt give anyone the excuse to be an Ass in my opinion..264Charlie wrote:Trent, I don't think anyones wants to have an attitude. Its things like this that are killing my interest in the club and I dont really want that to happen.
All I wanted was to be able to get out and shoot more...

Re: 2012 CaPRC Calender questions
And that is whats being done. He is the reason that we have solid dates to shoot right now. He went out of his way to help out with this. Not everyone will be able to make it but now you can try your best to make plans to get out and shoot more instead of wondering when the next shoot is. I don't think anyone is trying to be an ass here. Id just bet that having you best efforts be questioned like that is a little frustrating to anyone. Lets not anyone get all up tight over thista2dtrent wrote: All I wanted was to be able to get out and shoot more...

Re: 2012 CaPRC Tactical Precision Rimfire schedule
I'm sorry if it came across as prickish, that was not my intention and I appoligise if it sounded that way. I can only answer what I know about, and that is that CaPRC does not run matches on Saturdays because of logistics. It would mean someone driving out to ASR with all the steel and setting it up friday night, often in the dark. Also, alot of people, myself included, have to work most Saturdays. So Sunday matches are the norm. Since I am running the Rimfire matches, they will always be on Sundays. I am not running the Centerfire matchs, and dont have a vote on what days or how many a year they hold or what weekend the hold them on. The idea of holding 12 rimfire and 12 centerfire matches a year is a whopping 24 matches a year. Add on top of that the A, B, C, and D clinics the club runs, thats and insane, unsustainable amount of work to be done. Its just not feasible at this time with the amount of volunteers we have. The club should be posting its centerfire match and clinic schedule soon, but yes, currentaly the tentative schedule is moving most of the matches to the 4th weekend and replacing some of the centerfire matches with the rimfire matches and holding the clinics on the 2nd weekends.
EDIT: I see Randal has posted the centerfire match dates here: http://www.caprc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3527 The idea behind moving the matches to the 4th weekend is it opens up the schedule for people to shoot some of the out of town matches like Pendelton, Sac Valley & Vegas/Prescott without it being back to back with club matches. WEGC is on the 3rd weekend, DM 1000 yard is on the 5th. Dont forget Cayama and BRRC. Thats a whole lot of shooting available to us shooters. And please dont forget, we are here because we like to shoot! We are donating for free hundreds/thousands of man hours to put on additional matches through CaPRC, but we like to shoot sometimes as well!

Thank you Mike. This puts it into perspective. I appreciate you donating your time and all of your efforts for making this happen.GforceJunkie wrote:I'm sorry if it came across as prickish, that was not my intention and I appoligise if it sounded that way.
