What is the formula by milling, for determining the size of a target in inches, at a distance which is known in yards? :geek:

I think this is it, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong... :P

(yards * mils)/27.8 = target size in inches.

Yep that seems to work! I'm using 27.77 to divide by, and it comes out a hair closer.
Thanks man.

We have a target at our range at about 1040 yards up a hill, and I've always wondered what size it was, but was to lazy to hike my sorry ass up and measure it.

((Target Size in Inches)(27.78))/Mils = Distance to Target in Yards

A little basic algebra and you can solve for any of the variables.

Henry...I have trouble balancing my checkbook unless I can take my shoes off to use my toes to help count.
