The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be June 13th at the Angeles Ranges.
For details about the Angeles Ranges, see their website:
http://www.angelesranges.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Signups start at 8:00am and shooting should start at 9:00am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 8:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooters number.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.
The $25 match fee includes the match as well as use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 60 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.
This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory. If you don't have one, purchase one at the range or make something yourself.
This match is very "new precision rifle shooter" friendly so bring out your rig and see what it can do.
Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there".
I will not accept "if...", "I would like to go" or "I might go" as an RSVP.
We need to know how many are coming so we can design our course of fire to suit the attendence level and still finish in time.
The following people have acceptably RSVP'd:

oni
Gnzrme
Teletiger7

Randall does the club need anything specific for the next match etc? Want to know if there's anything I might be able to provide or not.

If I can get my rifle zero'd and a rough dope card worked up I'd like to participate as well. It would be great to get a chance to compete with the club so soon after completing my rifle build.

Do it. No better way to get better at shooting matches than shooting matches.

That's the only stage where my .308 has the advantage...... and if I recall it was the only stage that I won at APTS!

Sorry about that Randall, I'll save the chit chat for more appropriate threads so as to prevent confusion.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way ...
Please count me in, I will be attending this match. I'll be popping my precision rifle match cherry at this one, so be gentle boys

As long as you are using heavy enough bullets to keep the velocity down, no problem.
Just don't bring some lightweight bullets that zing holes in our steel!
So what's the deal on the firing pin?

Man, I'd really like to attend this one, but that day I have a bay reserved at Burro for some casual shooting with friends...It's going to suck knowing that a match is on just a little ways down the road.
Well, looking forward to seeing some of you at the rimfire match on the 5th.
