From the calender it looks like there is supposed to be a new shooters clinic this month on the 25th. Any one have any info on this? I'm sure there would be enough guys that would want to sign up. Needs to get started before it gets to close.

We will probably have to try for May unless someone else can coordinate it.
It's far too late to start planning for this weekend now.
Announcements have to go out at least a month in advance as well as the planning all being underway...

Some guy took all the sundays at Fort Angeles so we really don't have a range to use for the beginner clinics and doing them on the main rifle line is difficult due to scheduling classroom time and holding benches.

If anyone can find us an alternative 100yd range that we can rent for the day, that might make it much easier to run the A and C clinics.

I think Oaktree is renting their rifle range to groups now. Not 100% sure though.

I will call Oaktree tomorrow to see what the requirements are for renting out the range....

last I heard, its only open on Friday nights. No way on the weekends, they cant run the sporting clays while the rifle range is hot. But worth a call, I've been wrong before APTS is a no-go. The only other place I can even think of is the little side range at BRRC. I can't remember if its 50 or 100 yds, and i have no clue if they would rent it out. I wonder if any of the private clubs in Piru have 100 yards and willing to rent.

Mike, why is APTS a no go? They have rented the range out before including a 2 day class...

Oh and BTW, there is probably no way that DM would consider this.....

I'm just guessing, I can't believe they would shut down and rent out the rifle range on a weekend, and the private rental range is only like 20 yards.

Will see what they say. They do rent out the 100 yard line but I will see what they charge. Yes we are competing with the general public

Any News on the class?

Both apts and Oaktree were a no go. We still might have some other options but it deffinately will not be this month. Stand by for further updates
