Charley Robertson at Ph# 800-326-5632 if you have any questions.
Minimum Equipment Requirements:
1. Rifle (6mm to 30cal) with a speed limit of 3100fps
2. Ammo - 200 rounds total needed, NO FMJ, TRACERS, STEEL CORE, or ARMOR PIERCING bullets allowed.
3. Hearing and Eye protection is mandatory on the firing line. If a competitor is improperly using eye protection they will receive a warning on the first infraction, a stage DQ on the second, and a match DQ on the third.
4. Tools to run your gun and optics
5. There will not be a lunch break on Saturday, so make sure to bring any snacks you may need.
6. Note taking gear. As always, attention to detail will help you.
7. A pack to carry your gear/equipment
8. Competitors must finish with the same rifle he or she started with at the beginning of the match on Saturday morning.
9. Be aware that each competitor must carry all gear they are using during the match with them.

Recommended Equipment:
1. Knee and elbow pads.
2. Binoculars or Laser Range Finder
3. Sunscreen
4. Good footwear

Range Rules:
1. Shooters and observers must attend the safety briefing and sign range release forms.
2. Founders Ranch is a COLD range. No loaded firearms off the firing line at any time.
3. Mandatory hearing and eye protection. If a competitor is improperly using eye protection they will receive a warning on the first infraction, a stage DQ on the second, and a match DQ on the third.
4. Maintain muzzle control at all times. Rifles should be carried muzzle up or down with magazines removed.
5. Open Bolt Indicators (OBIs) will be required at all times when not on the firing line. When each on deck competitor approaches a stage the RO will ask for your OBI and keep it while you are shooting. On the completion of the stage the RO will return the OBI to you for reassertion into your rifle.
6. During the course of fire, movement will be done either with the bolt open and back (for bolt guns) or with the safety on (for semi-auto’s). The RO will give the competitor a safety, or bolt open and back warning before stopping the competitor.
7. A negligent discharge (ND) of a firearm will result in immediate removal from the competition. The stage RO may call an ND using his or her own judgment (examples include: the competitor was clearly not engaging the target, competitor was not behind the rifle when it discharged, the competitor was not looking through the scope). Questions regarding an ND judgment may be taken up with the CRO of that shooting bay.
8. No person shall consume or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the match. Any person found to be impaired and unsafe as a result of legitimate prescription drugs may be directed to stop shooting and requested to leave the range.
9. Stage RO’s and CRO’s are reasonable & fair, but their word is final. Without incontrovertible evidence to dispute your claim, the Match Director will side with the RO/CRO.

During Competition:
1. NO ONE will touch another competitor’s rifle or equipment without their permission. If someone is caught tampering with anyone else’s equipment that person will be asked to leave immediately.
2. DO NOT FIRE BEFORE THE START SIGNAL. The competitor will receive a 0 for the stage. If you choose to fire because the competitor next to you fires before the start signal, you will also be penalized. This will be the competitors only and last warning. If it happens again, he or she will be asked to leave. We will re-start the stage for the competitors who did not fire before the start signal.
3. NO COACHING. This is an individual match, not a team event. Absolutely no coaching a competitor while they are shooting. Discussions regarding the COF between competitors should be done before or after shooting.

Overall Scoring:
In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by Saturday’s cold bore shot. The CBS closest to the center of the target will win. If neither competitor made their cold bore shot or their cold bore shots are the same distance to the center, a predetermined timed event will decide the winner.

Crossfire Scoring:
We will give the benefit of the doubt to the competitor in the event of a possible cross-fire. For example, if the COF calls for 3 rounds and there are 5 on target, we will score the 3 best shots.

Steel Scoring and Spotting:
The majority of targets engaged will be steel targets. These will be scored as hit or miss. Only hits or impacts will be called out. This will help avoid confusion with our score keepers. If you have a question about a call the spotter made, call it to the attention of the Stage RO. If a mistake is made or a spotter does not catch a hit, we will do our best to correct it. However, our spotters and RO’s have final say. The score keeper will be able to tell you how many hits you had after completion of the stage.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: When can we zero our rifles?
A: Friday, May 11th only AFTER check in

Q: Can I get a refund if I cancel?
A: No, also you will not be able to sell your spot. We will fill entry spots from the waiting list.

Q: Is this a physically demanding course?
A: Yes and no. There may be timed events involving obstacles and physical challenges. Have good foot wear and pack wisely.

Q: What is the round count?
A: 200 rounds. If you need to have ammo shipped in, please contact us for details.

Q: What kinds of targets will we be shooting at?
A: Targets will be reactive steel, paper targets and electronic targets.

A: Yes. However, there is always a possibility of there being stages where they are not allowed.

A: Yes, a minimum of 6mm/243 cal to 30 cal maximum only. All calibers are limited to 3100 FPS. RO may verify this at any time by chronograph. No steel core, FMJ or AP rounds allowed. Velocity may be checked at any time by RO’s.

Q: Is there a magazine limit?
A: No, but certain stages may have load limits or mandatory reloads.

Q: Are muzzle brakes allowed?
A: Yes they are.

Q: Is this a “lost brass match”?
A: No, we will do all we can within reason, to get your brass to you at the end of each stage.

Q: Are suppressors allowed?
A: Yes.

Q: Can you switch rifles during the match?
A: No, if your rifle goes down you will be out of the competition. If your rifle can be repaired and restored to a safe condition, you may resume competition. There will be no re-shoots of stages missed during equipment failure.
