The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be Sunday June 12th at the Angeles Ranges.
For details about the Angeles Ranges, see their website: http://www.angelesranges.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Signups start at 7:00am and shooting should start at 8:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 7:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.
Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 50 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.
Bring a backpack to shoot off of for stages that don't allow a bipod.
This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory and are available from the club if needed.
Line helper RSVP's will be accepted anytime. Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Monday June 6th.
Non-Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Tuesday June 7th.
RSVP's posted before those times will be ignored.
Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there" as we will ignore "maybe" or "if" RSVP's.

We need some spotters and line helpers.
There's got to be a bunch of people that are not ready to shoot that would like to come and see what the matches are about.
Come on out guys...

What are you looking for help-wise? We don't have any range officer experience or anything, but if all you need is folks to help set up targets or keep score, my wife and I would be happy to help.

I'm mostly looking for people to spot hits and keep score.
No range officer experience needed.

Thanks for all the offers to stand down from shooting.
All of you should bring your gear on sunday and we will work it out at the last minute if there are not enough other volunteers.
With Juice5610 and Emphaticthumb and his wife, I only need 1-2 more line helpers to be able to run 3 stages at one time when we split up into groups for the single shooter stages.
There's still a few more days left before the shoot so let's see who else turns up to help...

My brother in law is going to come now too to check out the match, so that is another potential helper that can free up someone to shoot the match.

I've never shot or been to one of these matches before. If you need on the line I wouldn't mind sitting out the match to help out the line either.

Bring an extra 20 rounds this month besides the 50 you need for the match.
The last stage will be a man-on-man stage.
Once the first evolution is done, the winners of each pairing will continue on until only a single winner is left.
The additional evolutions are not mandatory or scored, but they should make for some extra shooting while the scoring of the rest of the match is finished up.

If there's anyone sitting out tomorrow because they feel like they need to, please bring your rifle and I'll sit out. I just realized I have less rounds than I thought I did after taking a friend shooting a couple days ago. I'm to short to actually complete the match, but I'll bring my gear and shoot until I'm out just for the trigger time if nobody else wants the spot.
