Hey guys,

Let's get this going... We can't stay at my brother's this year as Lenna is still not moving around too well after knee surgery.



The best place to stay is most likely Rancho Cordova. It will take about 40 - 45 minuets to get to the range from the hotels.

We need to arrive at Sac Valley not later than than 4PM. That means departing Bakersfield by no later than 10:45 to be safe. If we want to arrange to shoot at the ranch on Friday that can be arranged too but time will need to be adjusted.

Sat and Sun: We must be at the range by 7:00AM. That means in the trucks and on the road by 6AM. Sunday we will not be going back to the hotels as they are an hour out of the way. Please make sure your shit is packed and in the trucks before 6AM.


Who is shooting? Who is traveling as a group? What hotels are booked? What time do we want to get to sac? Do we want to shoot at the ranch before or after checking in?

If any of you like sushi, the AZ boys (and me) will be staying at the hotel that's in the same parking lot as Samurai Sushi in Rancho Cordova. I think it's on Folsom? We'll be hitting that Friday and maybe Saturday nights if any of you care to join us.

Charlie... I think we should get up there and zero asap then it would be awesome if you could get us onto the ranch for some dope gathering after.

Ryan was trying to book a few rooms.

Connor has offered to drive himself and 1 other in his hybrid if brads van is full. I offered my truck up because it will comfortably hold 4 plus a truck bed full of gear but at 13mpg I might have to sell my premier to a bum in bakersfield to pay for gas!

Brad says we all fit in the Van. So everyone should make plans to meet at Brads or Bakersfield. Brad has a room at the Vagabond and Ryan is going to book rooms close by.

We should all fit in three rooms if someone takes a couch or pullout. I call a bed.

There's room in the van for all of us and gear. Joe, kurtis, James meet at my place to carpool to bakersfield to meet up. I call shotgun in the van...

Call Brads extra bed... Brad will just tell you what you owe at the end for gas and room.

Just booked 2 rooms at red roof. Its just across the fwy from the vagabond (now red lion) hotel. $285 for everything. There are no roll away beds there, but there are at the red lion where Brad has his room booked. Should work out OK.

Also, another good place is Ichi Maki down the street. Not bad at all.

I will be hitting the road around 0830 on Friday, if any one wants to jump in, let me know.

Just got in touch with Brad. If we're going to take 2 vehicles, it going to be best if Conner and Charlie meet Brad at his house, and you guys can take off and go straight through. Joe, James and Kurtis can meet up at my place and we could drive straight through. When we get there, we can figure out who's staying where, who's going out late and who's staying in.

Ryan, I have noticed a trend when I have traveled with you... The later you stay out and the more you drink, the better you do the next day. So, go out, have fun and then kick some butt....

Just a friendly reminder on traveling. Be safe, and make sure you secure your firearms.

I just got a call from a competitor that WAS going to go to TBRC. He went to the range today to check his zero and make sure all his kit was in order. He needed to stop by work for whatever reason, and left his kit in his truck cab. This was not the norm for him, and you can see where this nightmare is going.

Some dirt bag came by and stole his rifle and his entire kit.

Rancho Cordova is decent, but dirt bags are everywhere. If you do have a few guys staying in, I'd leave gear in their room. This incident did not happen here, but it can very easily happen to anyone of us.

Travel safe and smart guys.

I would start crying like a baby if that happened to me. I hope that he will be able to get his rifle back. Can't believe the nerve of some people.

damm... I met a guy that it happened to 2x's before he got one of those flat bed gun lockers put in the bed of his truck. Even got rearended with it and there was a ton of damage to the back of the truck, but only cosmetic damage to the locker itself. Its worth it to invest in one. Just won't fit in mine and I need the back of my SUV anyway.
