Hey Men,
For you hard core shooters who came out today and weathered the rain kudos to you. Just remember, it's just water. Make sure to clean those sticks, some of you have a big match in a few weeks. Rusty sticks do no good. A good match and I still managed to get down to see a little bit of the Chino Air Show.

Ok we had 10 shooters today and the lead changed about a dozen times and toward the end it finally tightened up. The scores were all over the map today.

Here is the order of overall finish and you can laugh at the old man, but he pulled it off wet and all. GOOD JOB SNAPPY!!!

1) 418 Points; Snappy-Brad B. Good Job Brad! Good luck up north..
2) 415 Points; Big Joe H. way to go Joe and cleaned house. Just think, if that round went off you would have taken the match.
3) 411 Points; Newbie Ray R. who has never shot a match before........sure. Good Job Ray, see you next month and enjoy.
4) 392 Points; Henry S. good job but watch that zero shift brother. And see, just because you have an easy Cold Bore doesn't make a match.
5) 362 Points; Rich G. "Cucheo"-lil' knife thanks for the help and bring a chamois next time brother.
6) 301 Points; Scott C. Hey mang, I know you booked early, I hope your race went well.
7) 273 Points; James J., you know some people said you got wet. I don't know, I was kind of hot myself. That rain gear is overrated too.
8) 267 Points; Steven R, bro you got to the final Man v Man, not bad.
9) 224 Points; Nick P. Hey Nick welcome to West End, come on back.
10) Well lets just say "The Viking" Brett had some bad rings, score isn't important, shooting down range is.....

"Top .308" went to Joe H.

"Speed Drill" went to Joe H.

"Man vs. Man" went to newbie Ray R. who did great today. However, I don't think your a newbie, you been practicing out there somewhere. You ain't no bench shooter brother. Regardless, come on back.

Thanks for putting on this match. I will def be back soon. I would have done maybe just a little bit better if i wasn't shivering so hard that i couldn't see through the scope congratz to all the guys who won.

Lessons learned.. don't wear sweat shirts on days they predict even a slight chance of rain. Don't lay in the puddles on the concrete. Bring a change of clothes so you don't have to leave the match half way through and drive home naked with the heated blasting

I'm actually surprised i did as well as i did only shooting half the match. Thanks for all you do Mark. Except bringing the rain ;)

Thanks Mark for putting another challenging element into the mix, trying to shoot while shivering is a bitch wet and all! Congrats to Brad,Joe and Ray........I'm not buying that "never shot a match either" Ha!ha! see you next sat on the 1k yd line. Joe thanks for the brass brother, much appreciated.

Sounds like u all had a goodtime outthere despite weather. Congrats winners.

Old buddy, you would not have survived it........The misery index was quite high today. The pictures don't do it justice.

As I looked due east from the blue skies of HB with my wife this morning and saw all the clouds towards WEGC, I told my wife "I bet those guys are getting soaked today". Sorry I couldn't make it!!

I figured it was bad after reading JJ's post.

Hey I was trying to keep the score sheets dry. I don't know, your a pretty big lap dawg...

Actually all the guys under the shade cover to the left of me were getting soaked with the wind pushing the rain in. People with rain gear and mats faired a little better. I just know when I go somewhere I take more than I need for those ocassions. In the mountains you can just never tell.

Rich and I were wating for you up at the 200 and they said you left, I thought they were kidding. I even heard Brad was saying: "Hey James, don't do this to yourself, go home and have some warm hot chocolate, comfy blankets and tv." I think he had a motive for convincing you to go home. By the way he took first place.... :o Henry was doing great and may have done better but his zero shifted from the 500 to the 200. Bummer. But that's part of the game.

Mark, may have dropped my blue custom molded ear plugs on the 200 yard or 300 yard line. Had them until the end of the day when I took off my rain coat and they were drapped around my neck and got knocked off unknowingly.... If you see them (I dont know if you even going back there...) can you put them aside for me...?

It wasn't the most comfortable match, but every one kept in good spirits, and that made it tolerable.
Mark put on another fun and challenging match.
And I Found Stevens ear plugs in the van.
