Seeing how fun it was to shoot John's steel targets with .22's I wanted to pick up something different so we can all have some variety. Anyone know if Angeles would allow these steel targets?
I have no idea if Angeles would allow that or not, but that looks like a sweet target. It would be very challenging from positions at 50 yards.

I've seen steel targets like that before at ASR put out by other shooters. Not sure if that got permission or not though.

No problem. I've set up the same steel and also small men, etc. They have to be free stand and OFF the wood. Just do it. No special permission

I remember seeing these small tumbling targets on a website or catalog. Anybody know where I can find them?

Now that Bill is no longer doing a .22 match at "A Place to shoot" there's an opening for someone to organize a match. Doing a match after Randal'ls is a no brainer. The APTS matches were held the first saturday of each month at 12:30-1:00. Some ideas
1. "F" class open prone
2. "F" class open Bench
3. Paper at 25, 50, 100
4. Steel small men, flapers, etc. various distances.
5. Odd positions e.g kneeling with one bipod leg on the bench
6. rest on the back of the chair
7. sitting one a chair
8. on and on and on
9. hanging light weight objects that will move in the wind ( nurf balls, etc
The limitations are thoes set by Angeles,
these are some photos taking at APTS

Check this video and you'll know what this is. I got this a couple of years ago and it's still sitting in my garage - brand spanking new. Lol. I'll probably bring it out one of these weekends...

I live along the Penosqutos (sp?) canyon so houses up the way are getting evacuated. I am lucky that if something happens I have a few friends on the reverse 911 that will give me a heads up before it happens. Nothing my way as of yet. We are ready to go just in case. Since I work for the San Diego Sheriff I got activated and will need to go if I am called. I work for the IT department so I may need to go anywhere they send me. Its funny to see what I packed and what the wife packed. My pile is 56 pounds of powder, 20K in primers and all the guns in bags. Her pile includes family photos and jewelry and cloths and necessities for the two kids just in case we need to go. So far so good. I went threw the 2003 and 2007 fire so I am used to this, or as used to it as one can be. We were planning on heading to Frasier Park and Disneyland this weekend. We will see if that still will happen at this point.

Priorities man. Guns - wife - kids.....in that order though the last 2 could be interchanged. And yes, don't tell my wife I said that too.
