You should come to the match like this:



This guy was awesome. He was all Crye'd out and he had the tactical tan trucker hat. He even had his blood type on there in case we got into a firefight. And all shit was embroidered with tactical monogramming:

Nah. I have a pair of OD green 5.11 pants that I never wear because everytime I put them on, I feel silly. It seemed like a good idea when I ordered them. That's the problem with internet shopping. You can make some bad decisions without thinking of the consequences. I have a closet full of ridiculous crap I bought when I was going through gun owner puberty. I'll probably never wear or use it, but if zombies ever do attack, I should be ok. Hahaha.

On the other hand, I don't own a single article of camo clothing.

That was the shotgun class. I wore my Barbour sporting clays vest to that class.

I've been looking at your expedition albums on your site. That looks like a ton of fun. Is there anything I can do to my Yukon to make it able to do that stuff? I saw pics of Ho cooking up pork belly's with a bottle of soju on the side. Now that's my kind of expedition!

I mean, talk about fish out of water. I was there the same weekend, and he was the sore thumb:



The other guys in the class were the marine spec ops types, some recon army dudes dressed accordingly:



But after the weekend was over, the dorky guy got Distinguished Grad, and the bad ass recon marine guys didn't. I was rolling on the floor.

I think you're thinking of the high-end Land Rovers like the Mk3 Range Rover. These cost like $100,000 new. Yes, they're very expensive.

I do. I already told my wife about it. She saw the pictures of your expeditions. I started with the pics of food and she was like, "I wanna go!" and then I showed her pics of the terrain and she said, "Oh that looks dangerous." Hahaha.

But I'm a bit of a compulsive shopper, so I'll probably be looking at used beat up Rovers for a while now. You guys kill me!

$3000 as you got it, but how much to make it as it currently sits?

My Rangie sits now as I as I got it for three grand.

The market for used Land Rovers was thrown off substantially by the Cash For Clunkers program. A lot of people walked away from their old Land Rovers for the cash and thus the supply of used Land Rovers is not what it used to be. I just checked eBay for some comps to see what Rangies are going for and the closest one is probably this one:

You can see the Buy It Now is seven grand. That's Fantasy Land in my opinion. The actual bids at just below four grand sound right to me. That's true market value of what people are willing to pay for a Rangie in good shape. Looking at the pics of this green Rangie make me realize what a good deal I got. Mine's in way better shape than this one is. I was really lucky in that the seller wanted his Rangie to go to good home rather than to the government junkyard or to the highest bidder.

I just sold my loaded 1999 Rover HSE for $3000 grand, had 110k, old Emu shocks and springs, new battery, valve job, new belts and new tires.

Was asking $4500 and no takers, so the first person with cash in hand walked away with it for $3k...it was a sad day.

Senior moment, didn't even think about listing it here, had it on Craigslist and parked outside my house with a 'for sale' sign. CL is CRAZY, lot's of time wasters and wack jobs!

I had a relative bug me that if I ever sell my BMW to let them know. When I decided to sell it, told her about it and she bought it. It was running great when she took it, 4K later, she says there's a problem with the tranny and 'I' should pay for it since I 'knew" about it, WTF?? We don't talk anymore.

Yea I would never sell a big ticket item like a car to someone I know.

Damn i just ordered my rifle drag bag in ACU. Is this not cool? The worse thing about this bag is, i am 64" tall(one reason why i wanted a short barrel) the bag is 51" long, so it looks super funny when i use it like a back pack.

Brad was all tacticool in his gear last Sunday and shot a GREAT match. Maybe we need some gear like his...Or maybe it was just the hat ???

That's just the rule at Front Sight. The rifle class is cold range and they require you to have one hand on the weapon, even when it's supported by a sling:





I think they had problems in the past with weapons detaching from the slings.

If my memory serves, they don't want you grasping the pistol grip either, even with your finger straight like this:





I must have forgotten about their rules when Ho snapped those pics. That, or they didn't care if you held the pistol grip. I can't remember for sure.

For the pistol class, which is a hot range, they don't want you touching your holstered weapon at all.

I just "do as the Romans" whenever I go to a class.
