Hey Gents,

I'm going to ASR on Sun at 10am. I have a new prototype that I'll be testing, if you're around I would like your input.

Here is a blurry taste.. (the proto is white right now, will be painting it black for this weekend)

Mike,

Jeff Butler and I are going to hit Angeles this Sunday for some much-needed practice before the February match. See you this Sunday.

I look forward to seeing your product. If your product is a pistol-gripped stock for the AI chassis, that would be nice.

Speaking of which, you better post up that damn COF pretty soon if you expect to be able to run the match.
We still have to finalize the COF, draw targets if needed, make props if needed and print everything out in time.

I'm working on that in another window. It will be mostly done in a few minutes. I don't wanna hear any complaints either :)

looks like my skins, except cleaner, with no dirty smudge marks, scrapes, brass trails and chipped paint everywhere.

You guys are welcome to join us if you like.

I just heard this Sunday is Superbowl Sunday.

That's perfect. Let's hit the range. It'll be less crowded.

Sure, we can meet up at the range if you can't make breakfast.

I'll probably leave the range about 1:00 p.m. It's mama's birthday and the whole clan is going to dine together.

Mike, thanks for the preview. If I used an AICS for competition, i'd pick one up! Can't wait to see what the production units look like.

Re the stock: It did look nice. Didn't shoot it, but dry fired a few times, which is all I pretty much wanted to do anyways. Since it's still going through initial production, I'm not sure Mike would want to put some pics up yet.

Wow it was crazy windy even when the line first went hot. My target holder acted like a sail and blew completely sideways right as the first firing was to commence, which made things a little difficult. Saw more than one stand blow over, one had to go grab rocks or something else to try and keep the stands in place.

Anyways got to get my scope almost zeroed (as it's pretty difficult to fine tune with the target blowing back and forth), and got some dope out to 500.

I saw the guy next to me was having a hard time getting his scope zeroed, and decided to lend a hand. I was able to get it bore sighted and somewhat close, and also had Mike lend a hand to help put this guy close. It was a 7mm with what looked like a medium barrel but a light sporter stock, so it kicked pretty decent. We got the scope dialed at 200 while I spotted and helped with corrections and let them have at it. I also let them shoot my new toy with the heavy barrel and muzzle break. They liked it, but I don't think as much as I am. I REALLY like my gun now.

My buddy wasn't haven't so great a day, and was a little bummed at the end. I think he lost count on where his turret dial was, as he went out to 600 and was a full rotation up when he came back to 100, for our 5 shot competition. I still had a good time shooting and know I'm totally hooked now.

Can't wait to load up some more ammo and shoot the movers in a couple weeks at Burbank's range.

I have an AICS 2.0.. but don't think i'll be using the 338 LM for competition unless I first become a wealthy pro bodybuilder. Wouldn't be able to truly appreciate the new product until you've used the original. Plus it helps to know what you like and understand the shortfalls of other systems/features.

Get that side prone figured out? :)

Yeah... I figured out that is a shit position and worthless unless as a last resort. I'd rather pull my G19 and shoot it gangsta style.

Holy sh*t, Mike! That guy's 7mm mag kicked like a HORSE! It was a 7 lb rifle.!! I could only handle shooting 3 rounds out of it (my shoulder was busted) I asked him if he was going to use it hunting and he said, Nope just got it for plinking.

Plinking??? Hhahaha!

I hope he got it sighted.
