The California Precision Rifle Club is proud to announce that our next match will be Sunday January 9th at the Angeles Ranges.

Signups start at 8:00am and shooting should start at 9:15am when the line goes hot.
Please arrive at the left side of the Angeles rifle range no later than 8:30am to complete your waivers, sign-in and get assigned your shooter numbers.
Your shooters number is also your position on the line so please lineup accordingly.



This will be the first match of out 2011 points series.
Full details about the points series will be available once we finalize them, but there will be awards at the end of the year as well as some really nice prizes.

Match fee is $20 for Caprc members or $30 for non members.
The match fee also includes use of the range after the match is completed.
We usually try to finish by 1pm.
Bring 50 rounds of match grade ammo.
Be prepared to shoot as close as 10yds and as far as 600yds.
Be prepared to shoot from standing, kneeling, seated, prone and other improvised postions.



This match is open to bolt action and semi-auto rifles from 223 up through 308.
A velocity limit of 3100 fps will be in effect to reduce damage to club-owned steel targets.
Bipods, slings, shooting mats and rear bags are allowed and recommended.
Chamber flags are mandatory. If you don't have one, purchase one at the range or make something yourself.
This match is very "new precision rifle shooter" friendly so bring out your rig and see what it can do.



Member RSVP's willbe accepted after 12 noon on Monday January 3rd.
Non-Member RSVP's will be accepted after 12 noon on Tuesday January 4th.
Any RSVP's posted before those times will be ignored.

Please RSVP by posting something very definite in this thread such as "I am in" or "I will be there".
We will not accept "if...", "I would like to go" or "I might go" as an RSVP.

We need to know how many are coming so we can design our course of fire to suit the attendence level and still finish in time.
We are going to cap this at 24 shooters.
If you RSVP and later figure out that you can't come, please post that as well so we can keep the RSVP list current and move people up from the waiting list.

Connor checks the PO box on wednesdays.
I add the new members to the membership group on the forum once he posts the updated list.
The match is not going to fill up this month with just members.
Non members will make it in just fine tomorrow.

Yes.
There is going to be 3 relays this month.
I am still working on the squadding schedule on how best to do it.
We may open up to 27 or 30 shooters later this week if we feel we can handle it.
Waiting list people will get first dibs.

ok, I confess. I just wanted a new group photo because I am tired of looking at the 2 guys with their thumbs up pose.

I agree, I was trying to look stupid in my pic but I didn't think I would come out looking THAT stupid. I can't speak for steve though.

Since you and john take such good pictures, can I task you guys with forcing us to take a group picture right at the end of the shooters meeting?
We should do the shooters meeting between 9am and 9:10am which leaves us 5 minutes to take a picture and get off the range before the line goes hot at 9:15am.
