So I'm at ASR zeroing in my CZ and getting dope and to have some test targets, when the assholes next to me start shooting at my targets while I'm working on my rifle, WTF?!?
They fricken peppered my beautiful one ragged hole 5 shot groups!!!
I wish my centerfire rifles shot as good out of the box! I'm in love with that little gun, all I can say is wow...

Them assholes are everywhere, lytle creek has its share of them too but not very often! Some idiot shot the base of my metal stand while he was crossfiring away from his lane at 50yds hitting my 100yd target. The worse is when they don't offer any compensation!

I had an asshole shoot my target at ASR because he thought they were provided by the range.

My favorite is the people who go to Angeles and never bother getting a target frame. They just shoot at whatever is downrange. They don't care if it's your target or the range's target or even if it's a target at all.

Unfortunately, some people don' t even bother reading the range rules at angeles. Doesn't surprise me at all.
Adults that don't know the range rules or how the targets work and kids that don't know any better seem to do this more often.
One time this young kid shot up my target frame with his 22. I pretended not to notice at first, so i could catch him doing it. I went over and told his Father what happened. He paid me for the target frame and also gave his boy one of those looks. I hope someone learned their lesson.

I had the exact opposite happen to me once. A father with an Enfield and a kid with a 10/22 were both shooting at my target. I walked over to them and told them not to shoot at my target. The kid was apologetic but the father didn't give a shit.

just as bad are the dumbfucks who put a target up at 50, without concern of targets behind theirs...
Over the summer I had a guy shoot my frame and when I confronted him he tells me, "sorry, it happens" then turn around and laughs with his buddies.
I shot his frame down at the bases so it fell over, he was pissed and I said with a big shit eatin grin "Sorry buddy, shit happens..."
I hate those inconsiderate asswipes at the ranges!!

I take a lot of first time shooters to ASR. and they get careless at times. a lot of the time its with a shot gun. they start having to much fun and when they start hitting other peoples targets. i just walk on down to the store get a new one and hand the target with the receipt to the guy who lost his.tell him i'm sorry then make my noob feel like a putz. even if his frame is good I'd rather have some one 4 bux up and happy then all pissy with me. I try to go to one of the private ranges but they are not always open. Fort A is the good one. 100 yards and its all yours. we have some good-ol-fashion fun there. shooting stuffed animals rapid fire is more fun then you would think. Hehehe.

I tend to get there when they open and shoot as far from other people as possible. I've only had this issue once with a young kid who's father wasn't watching him closely enough, there weren't many other people shooting and the kid was the only .22 on the range. I told the father that the .22 caliber holes in my target were making it difficult to tell what was going on while zeroing my rifle and magically the holes stopped appearing on my target.

It happens to me occasionally. If you tell the range officers that someone else shot your target they'll make sure you get your whole deposit back.

Every time I've been to ASR is early in the morning Wed/Thur and its primarily older bench shooters, never had an issue yet.

Thats the reason I goto the Lytle Creek at 8:30 in the morning, I get the tables I want and less incidence of people hitting my target stand. Its pvc and only cost me about $1.50 to make but it got annoying going shooting in the afternoons on weekends and only half the stand would survive a session. I've even had some one shoot my caldwell .22 swinger with a 30 caliber rifle and leave a nice hole in it, so after that I would purposedly smash their brass with my boot heel if it hit the ground.

Hell just take the brass, I can almost guarantee they aren't doing any kind of reloading.

Whenever that happens James and I bust out our sako quads and tag team their target stands. Its great having a super accurate 22 and being able to cut a straight line across each target stand leg
