Had a lot of fun. Thanks for getting me out to 900yds. Couldn't stop thinking about it all day. Next time, I'll be there for the whole weekend.

I think I figured out why my dope at 600yd was off. The 600yd target at ASR is at a higher elevation from the shooting benches but at Barstow, the 600yd target was right around the same elevation from where we were shooting. I know we didn't know the exact distance the 600yd target was from us but could the difference in elevation have something to do with it?

The shooting angle was a minimal difference. That target was significantly farther than 600 yards, probably more like 675.

710 according to my dope and Connor is right about the shooting angle. The angle at Angeles can't be more then 5 deg which doesn't translate to much even at 1000yds.

It was 8.5 degrees to the rock we were shooting at 860 today.
That was 4 bipod notches up.
The 600yd pig was using the same bipod leg height, but more rear bag so maybe 5-6 degrees.

Don't forget the pound of butter we added to it. I'm kinda bummed that our freeze is now empty of game meat.

So you guys had to eat the frozen rabbits you brought because you were to drunk to kill any fresh ones?
Lame.

The beers were flowing even before we got there saturday...

We saw tons of rabbits but it was windy and couldn't hear them run out of the brush. By the time we saw them it was to late. Nicks roommate shot a snake.

And because we still seem to be missing a moving target at our matches so we cant practice up. Back in the day James and I would the shit at hitting moving, excuse me, hopping targets.
