This was an awesome experience. Thanks to the Vegas guys for putting on this great match. Everything from the COF, props used, food, and company was outstanding. Most of the SoCal guys got put in the same squad which made me a bit more comfortable. Unfortunately it did not help out in my shooting. I made too many mental errors. I found it very humbling shooting among so many highly talented shooters. Looking forward to next year!

Nick - I called my Doctor. He said my sinuses should clear up in a couple of weeks. Everything still smells like ass to me.

Just wanted to see what it would have felt like.

How to get Nick to behave at the table.

It has been proven eating fried rice the night before increases your chance of hitting your cold bore. Steam rice, not so much. That's Nick's rice bowl at the bottom.

I always have a good time at this match. Great r.o. crew and staff putting this event on. All really approachable and willing to answer any questions a shooter had. They made good use of ranges 3 & 9.

Some things that stand out in my mind:
Things ran smoothly and efficiently as the R.O.s were always moving the stages along. We were done by 12pm on both days. Everyone was divided into 4 squads and 2 of those shot at range 3 and the other 2 at range 9.
Wind on the long range COF was a little tricky to judge at first. Looked like barely any wind, but turns out we had to hold more than .5 mil.
One of the stages required you to use some "shooting sticks" which were fashioned out of wooden sticks and pcord. They were very unsteady and i heard later one shooter in squad B actually ended up having an ND right into the concrete pad, causing them to be DQ'd.
Good thing that material that the loophole was made out of was some type of rubber and not steel, because my bipod was not high enough and my rounds were going right through.
That one range facility management guy who was yelling on the 1st day was funny.

Kevin, they kicked my out of the category I started. I am now starting a new one called "Top Pacific Islander"

Actually all the Asians are shooting much better lately so I decided to move on.

you need to break it up into more categories:

Top Asian, Top Southeast asian, Top Pacific islander, Top Hapa, Top Back problems, etc.

Dude.... I thought that was supposed to stay in Vegas???

Steven - There was a stage that required us to blow up a balloon until it popped or do 15 push ups. We were trying to figure out how long it would take us to do them. Winner of the stage got 20 bonus points. In the end we all blew up the balloon because we were so sore from practicing the night before. No joke.

Those sticks actuall fell out from under my gun while I was using them.
I had to pick them back up and re-set my gun into them before I could proceed.
I think this kept me from firing my last round of that stage.
