Since I am probably the closest to the meeting spot, I will lead the caravan up again...Got room for 1 more shooter in my vehicle with the understanding that I am going to be staying late to shoot after everybody else....Plus I need the room for all the potato salad and another easy-up...

This event is for newbies and is an open invitation to anyone interested in learning more about long range shooting. Please refer to the first post in this thread for instructions.jawcn wrote:can i still sign up for this event? im new to long range shooting~~~ please let me know. tks
Please reply in this thread with "I'll be there!" We don't accept maybes or probablys. Also a $20 donation helps the club maintain targets and other needed supplies.

See the 1st post of this thread. Randall is asking for a $40.00 donation for this event...Maybe extra for the BBQ? What ever, its still worth it....

Re: CaPRC longrange clinic Sunday June 27th
I have a propane fueled camp stove (large size, not one of those tiny Coleman stoves either). It's not a BBQ, but it will cook meat. I also have a decent size collapsible canopy / sunshade that I could bring in my SUV if it would be of use.
I'll also have 4 open seats in my SUV to shuttle people out to the range site. It would be helpful if someone who has been to the site before came with me, otherwise I am sure I won't have any problem following the convoy leader on my own.
Looking forward to coming out next weekend. I think I managed to save 60-100 rounds of match ammo to practice with.

James I am confirming for attendance, potato salad, 1 extra easyup, and the leader for the caravan...
In regards to the new wheels...congrats, they look nice...I know what you mean about the $$. That is why I don't just get rid of my car even though its nickle and diming me to death...Its paid for and I am not ready to spend another 500-700/month for a new vehicle...

Anyone near the 60/57 that wants to carpool? I have a small pick up that can fit one other person w/gear. If not maybe I'll jump into someone elses carpool and I'll chip in for gas.

Seriously EVERYTIME I click on a Savage thread, i see Randells utube video
I got Savage 10-FCK, EGW base, SS 20-40, IOR rings for free so i can not complain. I want to learn more so i can make a wise decision when i need a new stick.

Re: CaPRC longrange clinic Sunday June 27th
I thought about it.... to replace it with a 700 and everything to go with it OUCH ! free versus 2500.00 its a hard pill to swallow when i am green to long range shooting. In the past 3 months i have learned a great deal though. Savage would not be the platform to start with if i were spending my money. I learn and enjoy it for what it is for now. I am sure this weekend wont help looking at all the nice set-ups hahahakhw9mm wrote:

I got into shooting because its cheaper than my racing.... its starting to consume me as much as racing haha I LOVE IT !

Unfortunately, I have to cancel.
I got called yesterday at noon and I had to grab a flight to Illinois. I got to my hotel at 2 AM this morning and was at the plant by 7:00. It looks like I'm stuck here through the weekend.
