Steven, do you have room for me to ride? I have an SUV but it's gasping.....cooling system issues and it is sucking the gas down. I do not trust it to be reliable, especially with extra weight of passengers.

The range is in the middle of nowhere, doubt there is a hotel within 50 miles. If there is nothing in new cuyama, the closest will be ventura, Ojai , Taft or even Gorman and then come across Lockwood Valley road to the 33.

Just booked at room @ Holiday Inn Express in Bakersfield. Lots to do there Saturday afternoon/evening. ~58 miles drive to the range.

Guys, read the directions in the first post:
RSVP's for CaPRC club member shooters will be accepted after 12 noon on Monday 6/3.
RSVP's for non club member shooters will be accepted after 12 noon on Wednesday 6/5.
A bunch of you jumped the gun, and that "into shoot" doesn't count. Post up now, especially club members to ensure you get a slot before it opens to the public wed at noon.

Jeff......I might meet up with you. I want to do the same before I go up to Cayuma......but I don't have a lot of time to spend at the range Sat. because my wife has plans and I need to watch the kids. I am trying to go during the week so I have more time, but if not I'll go Sat. and get there early...at opening or before and leave between noon and 1pm. I'll probably shoot less than 30 rds.
All I want to do is record the atmospheric conditions into Ballistic AE, chronograph my reloads and then check zero. After that grab a couple shots further out and see what the numbers are telling me compared to where I am hitting.
I'd love to get readings off your Kestrel and you are welcome to use my Chrony if you want to verify what your rounds are doing.

We will be bringing targets and stands for every one to confirm
their 100 zero.
this will be a quick check 3 to 5 rounds should be all that is needed.
Remember, this is D clinic, you should be squared away by now.
And the Van is back from the shop with 4 new tires, ball joints
and alignment, time for a test run.

Lister,
I think I might be full because I am bringing an EasyUp. If we can load all the rifles and gear in another truck, I can take 5 people but as it stands now, I need extra room for gear.....
Sorry...

There is a Motel 8 in Maricopa about 10-15 miles from the range.

The only nearby motel is the Super 8 in Maricopa, about 20 miles from the range. If you have the gear, come out and camp Saturday night.
FWIW, I have been making the drive to Cuyama from the L.A. area for a dozen years now and the best route I have found is the 5 to Frazier Park, west through Lockwood Valley to Hwy. 33, and north to the range. Over the Grapevine and through Maricopa sucks as the CHP prowl 166 and are merciless. On the other hand, there have been too many fatal motorcycle accidents on 33 lately... Drive carefully and keep your headlights on.

I would think between 4 to 5pm.
If the van is full of you guys meeting at my house, we can go straight home from the range.

If all the cars are full and we still have people who need a ride i can offer 3 seats in my isusu rodeo . I want to stress that i will help carpool ONLY if there arn't enought seats. if its more advantageouse to have one car full of stuff i couls be that car. If thats the case i could only take one person as the back seats would be down. also i have a bunch of those plastic political signs so maybe if some one has trouble and wants to check zero we could do that . Or does the range not allow targets closer than 800yards? Just a thought.
