Gents,

Please remove me from the waiting list.

While shooting in the cold rain isn't a problem, it looks like the Grapevine is going to be hard to cross if it gets towards freezing.

We'll catch y'all next time around.

If anyone routinely goes through the grapevine for our shoots, PM me for my phone number, I live on the south side in Castaic, if you ever get stuck on the south side, I got a spare bedroom and/or a warm place to wait it out.

Mike,

Thanks for the heads up..I'll keep that in mind. Even if the weather doesn't catch me out, my 1990 Accord has 440K miles on it. It's been reliable, but as Murphy goes, would probably take a crapper on me over the pass!

Yep we are shooting... This little bit of rain is nothing. I had 2'' of water in the bottom of my pack after the first day in AZ. We even have a cover at ASR.

If you have not read the first post in the last day or so, please check it out as there's lots more information there now.
Several people have dropped out which has moved people off the waiting list.

Weather is to be in the low to mid 40's and there's now only a 50% chance of rain.
Don't be suprised if there's snow on the ground when we arrive at 7:15 tomorrow morning...

Two pairs of socks and basketball shorts under my pants gotcha! I also just went to sportsmart and picked up some gloves. They're pretty cool/non tactical  They're liners but are pretty warm and don't have that extra fabric at the tip of the finger

That was a really terrific day. I learnt a lot and could already feel an improvement in my prone position and in my trigger control. Plus the chicken was delicious. Thanks so much to Seth, Randall, and the rest of the crew for giving up their time. This is a great club and a great group of guys.

Thanks for all the help guys. I definitely learned a lot. I realized how many things I was doing all wrong. It was challenging changing those bad habits and it felt awkward to do it right but I saw a marked improvement in consistency by the end of the day. Thanks again Seth, Randall, Keith, Kurtis, Charlie and Nathan. Lunch was awesome too.

Another thing I realized is, I'm to lazy to be a good historian for events. I knew John and Ho weren't coming, so I brought my camera and I took like 10 pictures. Hahaha. Thanks John and Ho for always taking such awesome pictures. I tried . . .

Firstly we had a very well done class from Seth. We are very lucky to have a guy with such vast knowledge in the club. Everyone in attendance looked very solid by the end of the day. Congratulations guys you are well on you way to winning matches.

...and let us not forget the cook. Lunch was killer.

Looks and sounds like another fun event. I'm bummed because I can't attend these Saturday events. Being a Korean, I must work six days a week or face excommunication.

You more than tried. I think the pics look good. And you captured some of the tenor of the event. You got the pics of the targets:

Image

It's always nice to see the targets.

These student-teacher interaction pics are always nice as well:

Image

The most interesting pics are the pics that have people in them. Pics of guns and watches are fun to look at, but the people make the pic I think.

You got some shooting pics:

Image

You even got some close-ups so that people could critique themselves after the session:

Image

Good call on the food pic:

Image

Always take pics of the food.

You pretty much covered it. Heck, you even snuck in a watch pic too:

Image

That's pretty sweet for a rookie. You're coming along nicely.

One question for those who were there. Is this one of those Costco-sized bottles of Crown Royal or something in this pic?:

Image

That's a pretty big bottle.

Thanks everyone for all your time, knowledge and the willingness to share it so freely. I only went as a viewer but I did sneak off and shoot the best group I ever have with my AR while trying out loading the bipod. Can't wait to try it with the bolt gun.

It was great to see lots of familiar faces and meet new peeps as well. See you guys at the next one.
