So if I beat you on your course of fire, under your rules, with your range officers five of seven times I am in?
How about this instead
We shoot against each other on High Power Range 600-1000 yards 20 rds for record, at each stage, at 600, 800,900 and 1000 yards on F TR Target. No sighters. We have each rds scored like good old NRA does it with
308 Bolt Gun with 20-26" bbls
Lets do that how many times you feel its needed. If I have to beat you five of seven times to get in I will.
I can not commit to all seven of your matches right now because of possible other commitments, but will shoot in all I can

No cause that is not the stuff you will be doing at TBRC to make a top 10 finish.
My Rules? You mean the ones that have been published for the last few years? They never change and do apply to everyone, including me.
My ROs? You mean our club members? They aren't going to cheat ya. + I am going to be one of those ROs so you have a major advantage. You concentrate on only shooting, I have to shoot and run a match. What more do you want?
OK 5 out of 7 may be a lil much, lets go for 4.
ANY of the men that finish top 10 at TBRC will have no problems cleaning my clock at a local match.
If I was claiming a top 10 finish at F-Nationals, then I would shoot against you at the events you laid out below. Since this is a tac match, we will stick to what is at hand.

What I mean is all you do is shoot the course of fire. Never even crossed my mind anyone would cheat. Lets guess here. You go to range several times a week and shoot same courses of fire. Me I show up day of match because its 220 miles round trip, and my primary goal is F TR. So you its a zero match. The course I sat up was a mix. Not my type of F TR weapon. No sighters but on a neutral type NRA course. One ran at Sac almost every week. Seemed fair to me. Your not on your ground and I am not on my ground.
Now if your question is do I think I can beat you? Then answer is obviously yes, on equal playing field I will beat you most of the time. Come out to a NRA Match and show me otherwise. There we are both chest pounding now.
If you think I am being bold saying I will be in top ten, well thats why I offered the bet. Saying I will be ready for match many months off is not the same as showing up to a range in a few weeks cold and having to be ready. Remember I just started shooting again. I need some practise on the range. If I fail top ten then egg is all over my face and you get a free dinner on me. You could just gloat and gloat. LOL You better believe if I get a spot I will work like a dog so I dont have egg on my face buy anything can happen.
As to Nationals I have finished far better than tenth
As to 4 of 7. If I beat you on the format you suggested do I get in because of all my past and current sponsorship?

Oh Mike, I can take all the banter you can dish.......
Now that you are up and running again, we will see you on the range. Leave the war stories at home, bring the rifle, ammo and lets make some noise. See ya on the range in 2011.

Obviously you need to have last word in the thread.
I will shoot when I can. I wont tell you any "war stories" Heck other than heres my money and there are the donations, we have no reason to speak to each other anyway.
If you want to experience some war stories of your own I might be able to get you a chance at getting your feet dirty in the sand, with the rest of us animals. They normal dont take guys with no experience but I may call in favors and beg for them to take you. Pay is good. Living conditions are not terrible. There is steak every friday your not outside the wire. Heck I want to go back!

The following is not for Vu, but at special request.
If you want good stories I have a great friend who teaches with me. He has spent five years between Afghanistan and Iraq, doing bad things to bad people. He should be home April or so and is going to get into long range shooting For Fun LOL. He is funny and has a world of war stories. We just need to pour beer in and he sings. He wants to teach CQB Carbine/Pistol with me monthly when he returns. We will come down to SoCal for class or match when he is back.
I will give you a funny war story about him. My sister in law came unannounced at our home with her new boyfirend. A bit on liberal side, when my buddy and I where eating steaks and killing brain cells ( I know I can not afford to kill any more) The boyfriends asks my buddy "How many people have you killed" Without missing a drink of beer he replies " With my rifle? Carbine? Pistol? Knife? or Hands?" The boyfriend almost pooped himself. End of conversation
I almost pissed myself as soon as they where gone. My wife was attempting to scold my buddy when they left but we all ended up laughing our asses off.

Mark, after a few trips to surgeon I noticed he had bought a new car, a few months after a few of the surgeries so I started asking him instead of bad it was, how nice a car was he going to buy this time.
Yeah at PD they started calling me "The Bionic Man"
Funny thing is I would not change anything I did to avoid any or all of the surgeries. Loved my work.
They do a great job on the matches. Vu and I argue like cats and dogs but he does a great job on his matches or I would not try to sign up.
See you at Shot.

				Hey guys,
Just wanted to give everyone an update.
Only one, but that spot was filled.
I will be sending out the match info one more time with a few small changes and notes in a few weeks.
The major change is 0700 start time on Saturday and Sunday. We want to be on the line waiting for 0800 so we can go hot.
I have also gone the way of AZ, once the shooter is on the clock, no coaching. Other than that, things are pretty much the same.

They wanted to do something special so they had these fine blades engraved with our club logo and 2011 TBRC.

With a price tag of about 350 a pop, I don't think they want to do one for everyone, or our range crew. However, they did provide everyone the sweet Surefire ear pro that go for 15.00 a piece. Those will be in the shooter bags during check in.
Surefire was also kind enough to give the range crew a 40% off certificates as a small thank you.
Highlights of our prize table so far.
3 rifles
GAP has stepped up for the 4th year in a row.
ScoreHigh will be sending out a rifle.
Scott with Specialized Dynamics will be putting up a AR in 243win.
We have a NF 3-15X mil mil, high speed. Not an F1 I think.
USO Optics Cert 2400.00
Vortex Razor HD
These hurt the most. Two Surefire 1900.00 suppressor certs!
A lot more stuff will be coming in in the next few weeks.

I will probably just give these to out of state guys that can have them. Hate seeing shit be sold from the prize table as it sometimes pisses off certain sponsors. We are not in the business of selling hardware, our sponsors are.
For the most part our guys grab what they need and will keep, like Francis taking a Premier Cert when he won, vs. a 3800.00 rifle.
