Would like to participate, however looks like more than enough shooters on standby list. Plan to come by, attend classroom session and watch.
Just mailed membership application to CaPRC, looking forward to some good instruction on PRS to get started in the sport.
When will another "A" class be available?

The club only runs the clinics once per year. The next A clinic will be about this time next year....
You bring up an interesting point though....
Randall, what do you think about exceeding the normal 20 student limit, and allowing more people in the classroom portion only for a reduced fee with or without lunch? How many people can fit in the hunters ed building?

There are usually cancellations at the last minute.postal wrote:Randall, what do you think about exceeding the normal 20 student limit, and allowing more people in the classroom portion only for a reduced fee with or without lunch? How many people can fit in the hunters ed building?
We usually invite the first 4 people on the waiting list to show up and be ready to shoot.
We can probably run 24 shooters if we run in two relays of 12 shooters on the line.
The hunters ed trailer will seat 30+ I think.

Hi all, you can remove me from the waiting list, unfortunately I won't be able to make the class this Sunday.
I'm guessing it might be slim, but are there any chances of attending subsequent Clinic A classes if you didn't make the first class? Or would there just be too much to catch up on. Also wouldn't want to ruin for the rest of the class too.

Unfortunately you have to take A clinic before being able to take the B clinic.dawnpatrol wrote:Hi all, you can remove me from the waiting list, unfortunately I won't be able to make the class this Sunday.

What time do the helpers (who aren't teaching class in the trailer) need to be at the range?

Jeff,
Enough of us are likely to be there early for other misc things, as long as you and Robo are there by 11:30 before they go hot on the line should be fine unless Randall says otherwise.

We could use range helpers by 10am to 10:30 to setup targets, tables, coolers and the cooking area. Also, if anyone has folding tables and portable shade, please bring them.

Re: CAPRC Marksmanship Clinic A 4-17-16
Anyone who is already on the waiting list and ready to shoot tomorrow should just show up and plan to be shooting.
There will likely be a couple of last minute cancellations and we have room for up to 24 shooters if needed...

Re: CAPRC Marksmanship Clinic A 4-17-16
Good Morning,
Just wanted to say thanks to the club members who took time out of their schedules to help the people in the class.
Big lesson learned for me is to check and confirm parallax. I was having problems with consistent check weld and I believe I bumped the parallax going to and from the line after I zeroed so I was all over the place and couldn't figure out why. Could also be that I need more practice :-)
Is the target we used for zero with mil and moa markers on the top, bottom and sides available somewhere on this forum for download so I can use it to recheck and confirm my zero with correct parallax settings?
Again, thanks for the help yesterday! Much appreciated.

Thank you too everyone who put a lot of work into this clinic. I learned a lot and got a lot of information on how to improve my shooting. It was really great to have someone with experience next to me to help guide me on the proper position and scope relief. It was also very helpful to have people analyze the targets to show me what I need to do to improve. Thanks again.

Does the target we used for zero with mil and moa markers on the top, bottom and sides need to be printed at a specific size when set @ 100 yards ?

Print it with scaling turned OFF so that it prints exactly as drawn in the file.
