CAPRC Practice Day 03/13/16
It is time for another opportunity to get out and practice. . Sunday March 13th. Come on out to work on your skills. Solidify your DOPE. Try some drills under the clock. It will be held at the far end of the rifle line at the normal spot that we have our matches. We will get there starting at 7:30. We will wrap it up by 11:30 to put away any gear and then we will all grab lunch. Cost for the range fees and lunch included will be $20. Please post up "I am in" if you are planning on joining us.

Rifle should be ready by then. I just dropped it off for a bedding job. I'm in unless something holds it up.

Yes Angeles Range, on the far left end if you're looking down range. Great day for new shooters as it's a practice day to get more familiar with some of the props, learn from experienced shooters, and ask questions about gear etc.

EDIT: Unless I make a miraculous recovery, looks like I'm out. Woke up with a cold or something.

Re: CAPRC Practice Day 03/13/16
Well I have to drop out. I had a part failure on the Mausingfield and am express mailing my bolt back to Ted for inspection and repair. I'm officially the first one to break something on one of his actions. He was in aww lol.
Picture below shows the broken cocking piece that failed while doing some dry fire practice. Keep in mind I've had this action for about a year now, am almost ready to replace a second 6mm barrel, and dry fire practice damn near daily. So the action has been cycled thousands of times.

Wonder if that was a MIM part. I'm sure they'll get you fixed up directly.

Ted already responded. He said my model #72 used a harder more brittle metal for that part and newer ones have already been adjusted. He's paying express shipping both ways. Stand up guy as always. Should have it back by Wednesday or Thursday.buffybuster wrote:Wonder if that was a MIM part. I'm sure they'll get you fixed up directly.
I'll try to get out on Friday to zero it up for WEGC next Sunday. Was really hoping to get some practice time this weekend with the new stock though.

Re: CAPRC Practice Day 03/13/16
I'm bummed because, as much as I would like to attend, I cannot make it. It is my youngest daughter's 10th birthday ........otherwise I wouldn't miss it. I really enjoyed the last one. I hope you guys have a great day and I will see you on the next one.
EDIT: Oh for Pete's sake!!! You can tell I have been working 80hr weeks......6th and 7th day for the last month or so. My daughters B/Day is the 13th of April, not March. I was a month ahead I'm so out of it. Too bad, I would have liked to come.
