I just thought it was a moronic way to mount the inclinometer. Not only is the parallax knob blocked, but turning the parallax or illumination knobs would be very inconvenient. It almost feels like whoever designed that inclinometer mount didn't know what the parallax and illumination knobs did.

I could be wrong, but that doesn't look like an M40A5 to me. It looks like some fabulous facsimile M40rgery kustum build. The receiver is very new and it doesn't have the screws for the rear sight.

And even if that is a real M40A5, it doesn't look normal to me. There are many pics of M40A5s in the field and they don't have their inclinometers mounted in such a moronic way.

Mounting it there doesn't make sense to either you or me but its not like it's something new..... pretty sure Badgers made that ACI ring cap for as long as i can remember.

I wouldn't doubt that its someone in the services rifle. Maybe a personally owned replica of his service weapon? GAP makes a m40a5 for people who wish to have one. Who gives a shit where he mounted it? It doesn't seem worth commenting on to me. More then likely he will realize once he shoots it that it will be better suited mounted somewhere else.
