Yes, regional. I can't say how other than I applied as soon as I saw the e-mail and then paid as soon as I got the invoice for the match fee.

Also I've had a good relationship with Mike Voight since I shot his very first Surefire test match in Tehachapi in 2012 and my wife took promo photos for him.
I was hoping it was because they had some spots for locals and a few of us could shoot since it's the only big SOCAL match this year.

Nothing is fucked with the PRS. You can get into the final a few ways. That said, it's ran by people, the first full time guy will start for the 2016 season, whcih can make mistakes. That said, if a mistake was made is should be exploited. The PRS will look into this.

I agree with you Charley. The PRS Series is great. I think Ben was only being sarcastic since there are others that were ahead of Evin that did not make it. I'm sure it will all get ironed out. No harm no foul.

Well, like I said before, I don't know how/why I got in but I'm listed in the squadding roster and until I hear otherwise I'm assuming I got a place because of reasons other than ranking. If that is the case then I'm not taking anyone's place that would have otherwise been shooting.

Evin, technically you are taking someones spot though. The finale is not for handouts. Its not for MDs to get their buddies in. Its not for a few socal guys because its a local match for us. The only proper way to get in to the finale (other then sponsor spots but thats a whole other thread in itself) is to actually qualify for it. Many guys spend thousands of dollars every year for a chance to qualify for this thing but don't make it. If they're just giving handouts to their buddies then Ben is right and something truly IS fucked up. End of story.

The only way to qualify in 2015 is one of 4 ways.

Win Match
2 top 15% finishes
Full in top 75 shooters via your points from the year.
Regionally Qualify (top four in every region)

Evin, if you did not do one of the 4, I would not plan on attending. It will get cleaned up after the last two matches of the season. The top four shooters which selected Vegas as a Regional Qualifier which did not meet the other requirements will make the final roster. They can't possibly know that before all the matches are done.

Note, it is possible that Evin qualified via vegas. For example another shooter qualified another way opening up the Regional spot. You have to be a PRS member and a selected Vegas as your regional match.

OK, turns out this was a glitch in the Matrix, I emailed Rich Emmons to clear this up after all the butt hurt going on here. Apparently he sent me the registration e-mail by mistake.
I'm not interested in shooting the match if I don't have a legitimate place, but I might go out there and spot/help on Sat. if my schedule allows.

At least you don't have to fly to TN to shoot a Qualifier! And k's match has something like 180 shooters now.
