Frank from Sniper's Hide seems to be dissatisfied as to how the PRS series matches are presented. He doesn't think that some matches like Las Vegas who had 45 or so shooters and a max yardage of 644 yards should give people the same points as other matches that have more attendees and longer ranges to shoot. He also points out that his Sniper's Hide Cup is the best match in the sport. Well, it is a free country. If Frank wants to make another league there is nothing stopping him. Any organization will have hiccups or growing pains, but the PRS has been offering nothing less than a bunch of top notch, challenging, fun solid matches run by a bunch of hard working people. I really enjoy shooting the series, and plan on supporting it in the future.

The thing is PRS does not offer these matches. You dont have to be a PRS member to join. These are matches that anyone can join. Before PRS started up it was getting hard to get into a Big match and there where only a few big matches around. Since it started there have been a bunch more that popped up. Only reason I see Frank finding the PRS to suck is that he is not apart of it and he hates being on the outside and not being the head chief. Any one who has meet him knows he has the napoleon complex going on! I do think trying to help people out with a local match start up kit is not a bad idea. I guess we have been blessed with guys like Randall and Mark who have already been running a match for years and have plenty of ideas for stages and such. The issue with making a big match "New Guy" friendly is no matter what you do it wont change a thing, people will either come or they wont. How many times have you heard the guys say I want to practice some more till I come to a match or I'm going to come watch a few times before I jump in. We all tell them to come out and shoot its no big deal but time after time you dont see or hear from these guys ever again. If Frank wants to start something new then by all means but I for one think things are going in the right direction.

There needs to be more smaller grassroots matches and clubs with inexpensive match fees. A new shooter doesn't want a $200 fee plus expenses just to get pummeled DFL (Steven excepted).

If having a "match in a box" kit makes that happen, then it's good for the sport. Otherwise it will be the same crew going from match to match.

We are very fortunate to have what we have.

Based on the number of comments, and the prominence of the people making them for both sides, it seems not to be that simple.
It will be interesting to see what if any effects, good or bad occur when it all shakes out.
